If you want another series with super fun and inventive animation (and one of the most insane animation-filled episodes of TV ever created), definitely check out City the Animation!

Ebofa

Watched the first episode just a couple of days ago and it was hillarious. And very beautiful. It reminded me of some of the books I read as a small child. The ones that are just beautifully illustrated with detail.

I wrote this back on Episode 1, but Eizouken was the anime that got me back into anime after so many years of what felt like just a constant bombardment of utterly generic stuff. There are anime about animation that are far more realistic about the process and the business. But Eizouken just truly captures the feeling of why people love it. And how it can break reality, and show the fantastical in a way live action can´t.

Any update on the next Stranger Things episodes ?...getting withdrawal symptoms here lol

These were such a great watch. Eizouken is without a doubt one of my top 3 anime.

TurdManJones

I thought she finished Adventure Time. That's gotta suck. But I stand by SU. I wish she would stop starting new series and finish these first.

Shalune

As an artist this show speaks to me. It's fucking beautiful. God, and the way at the end they realized their story so well and to so many people that they made it real. Depicting it literally changing the city for everyone that watched it. Brilliant~

Carter

After re-watching it, Eizouken definitely places in my top anime of all time. It's so charming and perfectly captures the feeling of youth and creativity. I'm glad you watched it.

Absolutely loved this so much, but I do got to ask- But what was the voice acting plot point for- There wasn't any voice acting in their animated short. Was it for the cut dance scene? Seems weird to mention they were doing voice acting then not have a resolution for that point.
