Second to last episode and they're still wasting time with gag scenes (movie photoshoot, supes acting freaky, Homelander Jesus, or just sex stuff) and regurgitating that Butcher is a psychopath (we already know that at this point, damn)

I think you missunderstand radioaktivity a bit, it does not spread the way you are thinking and kimiko being exposed does not make her 'radioactive' (I still would be a lot more careful than frenchi though). The cases where a person is 'radioactive' is due to exposure to radioactive material that can have entered them/stuck to their clothes/skin but the actual radiation exposure does not spread :)

Yeah it really feels like they are going to either end in an extra movie or series ending like AOT or we lose which in some ways is actually cool since not many current series have the "bad guys" end up winning.

Marie being able to use it once or twice does not mean she can fully control it plus she basically had godolkin holding her hand being in her head at the end of season 2 so that was more 'Her being able to repeat what she saw/felt for the moment'.

As great as the Frenchie final (which is probably one of the best scenes in the series) and MM speech were, this episode perfectly shows why people say the show’s quality has fallen off since around S2. It’s the same thing that happened with Stranger Things, GoT, and a lot of other series where the creators made something great but never fully understood what made it work. Instead, they lean on shock value with little payoff or spend multiple episodes spinning their wheels without progressing the storylines they set up, whether because of incompetence, ego, or studio pressures. Eventually, it stops feeling like a carefully crafted story and more like they just caught lightning in a bottle during the first/earlier seasons, and are just riding the wave of success and hype. Succession, Peaky Blinders, Bojack, Black Sails, Better Call Saul, and Breaking Bad and several more are great examples of shows that stayed focused, cohesive, and true to their characters and story from beginning to end. Sadly, this show feels like it’s heading toward the pile of series with incredible starts but terrible or unfulfilling endings, based on the last 7 episodes.

I think stan edgar's speech to MM is foreshadowing for the ending. I think all the boys will die except for butcher, homelander and some other main supes die but some other supe just takes over - the machine still lives and the boys ultimately failed to change anything. With how homelander dies it could be a marie and kimiko tag team, a full jumping situation or ryan might third party him.

I STILL think this season has been good. But some of the criticisms are valid, I can't lie. But i also think not watching Gen V helps lol I genuinely hope the show ends well, I still have a little faith that it will.

So I'm pretty sure this entire season was written and filmed when Gen V was announced to have been cancelled. I guess they could have known they weren't going to be making a third season knowing this was the last season of The Boys, but if they did intend to make a third season, then they probably would just make the Gen V cast cameos again like they did after the first season. I don't really think the writers "forgot" things or "regressed" anybody, they were probably just saving the Gen V character developments for Gen V.

People are GREATLY overestimating Maries powers just because she was used together with Homelander to desrcibe a buzzword, hell she even says it herself that her powers were exaggerated just to make the audience understand that

You know how they say Radioactive materials are kinda shooting billions of atom sized bullets, yeah well when the bullets enter a body which in this case is kimiko she doesnt suddenly start shooting those same bullets too. Yes it can spread and you should still be carefull but most of the stories are complete myth, Frenchie does not suddenly have terminal cancer just because he touched a person who was in contact with radioactive materials

I think that Marie’s biggest way to help in the finale will be using her blood telekinesis to hold homelander in place so kimiko can blast him. If she isn’t strong enough to pop him, at least she can prevent him from flying away so that kimiko can zap the V out of him and neuter him, if they did in fact manage to use the research from Russia correctly to give her that power. Tag team to depower him, and then let Butcher finish him off once he’s mortal. Now how many people they lose in the fight to get to that point, I don’t know, the promo poster mirrors an image from the comic pretty well, so we’ll see.

I just re-watched the xmen-97 show on Alicia's channel. The comparisons are hard not to make. And the quality of the shows speak for itself on which one honestly understood the social issues being discussed and the one that is reading off a check list.

I think you misunderstood. It is a reaction between the complete scifi part of the show, the V that gives them powers, and having radiation blasted in a certain way. Not a normal consequence of being blasted by radiation. It's not realistic, but neither is every single power in the show and the entire premise of the V doing it. Frenchie didn't die from cancer. He died from having his stomach punched in, and insides pulled out. Homelander held them up to the radiation for fun of course, but Frenchie was dying rapidly (the show stupidly cut this scene out, but you see him hiding the bloody mess of his stomach). You are right he wouldn't die instantly from the radiation, but he would be dead instantly without knowing it. The scary part about what he went through if he wasn't injured, is you are basically a zombie at that point. A few minutes where he was, destroyed everything that maintains a human alive. No more cells or anything being made, dna obliterated. But your current body is already made and will continue for a day or two, lagging behind the reality that you will just slowly fall apart into a horrific death. Marie can't repair dna or anything that happened to Frenchie either.

Also the whole reason why Homelander allowed Frenchie to leave the room and crawl all over the place was because he knew that he would die shortly after because of acute radiation poisoning even IF they managed to patch up his wounds, there is no cure in the world that could heal his molecules after that much exposure
