BewearKing64

Woooooooow! Alicia does such a good Myrphon impression it was so hard to tell which one was her. :3

Sam Marsh

Don’t worry Agott, I know of another young witch named Amity who started to have similar questions about a certain outsider to her world, and things worked out fine… wink wink😉

Demi

Oh I was hoping you would tear into Kukrow and I was not disappointed.

Shan

Omg don’t do this to me. My shipping heart can’t handle it

With how much time and practice witches spend on copying down all these “simple” spells, I’m surprised no one’s thought of making wood stamps of every common sigil or using measurement tools to trace a bunch of incomplete near-perfect circles ahead of time. Is woodblock spell printing a forbidden magic?

Andrew S

Just want to say, remember Alicia's words

Lobo

Olruggio is like those dads who say "I dont want any dogs (or qiflings in this case) in my house" and next time yk it boy is making gifts for them and always taking care of them yet he still swears he doesnt want them

This was explained implicitly when they were cooking with magic and implicitly when they were using magic to pick mountain apples off their trees. The value of magic is in it's versatility. Stamping casting seals would constrain this strength. Besides, considering how ableist witch society is, stamps would probably be frowned upon and ridiculed in the same way modern tools, while more efficient, are attacked by older generations. I still remember when it was still a large debate about whether digital art actually counted as art. That said, there is definitely a difference here. With casting seals, you are actually sacrificing a lot of versatility in exchange for convenience. That isn't true for most real world things.

And now all characters in the opening have been introduced.

Rhiley Jones

they say that if 66% of your interactions are trauma inducing your child will tern out perfectly well adjusted and happy that's not 66% bad that's is 66% awful, if parenting was a test failing the test results in success we humans are resilient like that, which is why parents who rase horribly broken people forever bare my disgust. 33% of there interactions with needs to be nice not even good just nice that's all it takes there life could objectively be so much worse than it is good it could be a majority suffering and you could still turn out unbroken :edit i remember better now its even worse only 33% of a child's needs!! (including social) need to be met simply put if you where an adult and you said 66% of your needs wornt being met you would bitch and moan or just fall apart but a child will turn out happy

I like to see Richeh as a representation not necessarily of "Real Artist" but of a stubborn artist, yknow, there are some artist out there who developed a unique art style that is akin to a signature for them, having your own recognizable style, people looking and knowing immediately it was yours, and sometimes those artists refuse to study other types of arts, other techniques, (think for example someone who only draws anime art but refuses to do realism, or someone who only does furry art and refuse to do humans, etc), for fear that it will change how they draw and ruin their art style theyve honed, thats how i see richeh as someone who was formerly very obsessed with my own art style and really avoided anything different, eventually i did begin to try and reach new types of forms and shapes and different ways of drawing the same thing, and even if it did change my style a bit i do overall feel its been an improvement

Second test arc lesgo! It's gonna be so wholesome.

Somerando9

Oh wow I only just understood why he likes heat magic!

And now I'm caught up. I'm really liking this show. So far, I can understand why magic is restricted, but the memory erasure still rubs me the wrong way. If magic can only be done with specific inks and pens, then restricting *those* materials should be enough to keep it as safe as possible without creating confusion. Because keeping everything about magic a mystery is just going to create more situations like Coco; people who love the idea of magic without understanding its consequences finding out and abusing it *because* they don't understand the consequences.

Heathen

As a parent to a 2-year-old, I hope to never say "because I told you so." As you said, Alicia, children are little people and should be treated like people. If they know the *reason* for something and are taught to *care* about the reason, they're not only more likely to listen, but simply expecting them to do something because they're told discourages critical thinking and makes them prone to peer pressure in the future.

LittleMoist

honestly if im gonna ship Coco with someone, its gotta be Tetia. they're so precious together

Dark Sunrise Studios

Whoops, a bit late to the discussion, but I also feel like witches carrying around a bunch of stamps could dramatically increase the chance of one getting misplaced, and outsiders finding it and realizing it's importance. If they found a bottle of ink? Probably just assume it's for writing. Same for a pen. But a suspiciously shaped sigil? Likely with remnants of ink left on it from previous castings? Hmm.

If S2 gets to a particular scene, your heart is going to go crazy.
