This is one the episodes that never really sticks in my mind ,but It's also a good one to have before the next two episodes. Those 2 episodes just kind make this one fade away. Yeah those two are gonna raise Alicia's heart rate.

Rianne 🖤

I was itching for more episodes!

Girls Always

I feel dumb asking this, given I've watched every reaction. Do Alicia and Ant like all the characters? I believe so but sometimes I can't tell if they're teasing or genuinely annoyed. (Not counting Rossi since he's still new)

Windthor Pryas

M14 Assault Rifles can be chambered in 7.62x51 NATO, M1918 BAR was chambered in .30-06, I believe AR15 is 5.56?

Rianne 🖤

I feel like they’ve been endeared to pretty much the whole team. While they love some, they find some (like Hotch) to at least be respectable and good at their role in the BAU and who require a little time to get to know. I would say Strauss is the only person they don’t have the most positive feelings for, but I think that’s kind of her role in the show.

Rianne 🖤

I’ve been waiting on the next two and I can’t wait to see Alicia’s reaction.

AylaB

Considering how she feels about that character, I expect a big reaction.

Random3x

a thing to be at least aware of is Ruby Ridge is a real event not a series invented event.

The StoicGriffin

The entire mess around it is also far more on the ATF and the damn SWAT sniper than just the FBI as a whole.

Drewby

If I remember correctly from what I heard about Waco the Texas officers were wanting to raid in Waco, but the FBI decided against SWAT, giving the opportunity for so many loss. So, Rossi would be right about people not happy about FBI interference after a failed sniping and then a failed rescue.

Jack's World

Bruh not Ant trashing Negan, the BEST addition in the series 😩

The Silent One

The whole bit of Medieval Lords btw. was to a good extent hogwash. In the early medieval period (and into the High Medieval) the holdings of a Lord were, basically, his farms, his ranches etc. And he had to check in on them in person and even work on them. Even when that fell away, he was expected to check in. And then, in the late medieval period, post-plague, the farmers and so on got their lifes improved because of the reduction in population and, therefore, workforce. Suddenly, they could charge much more, and many of the worst fields could be abandoned, and cultivation focused on the good fields. Also, many of the feudal contracts specified payment in produce, while money became ever more important... The Lords were feeling hte squeeze, so in the late 15th century, they tried to return their powers to ye olden days... The famed peasants uprisings, that are often stylized into some sort of proto-democratic "poor people" uprising was actually 2 CONSERVATIVE groups clashing, both wanting to go back to a point in time... the Lords to whne they had more power in the 13th century etc. And the Farmers (and others... who btw. had very good equipment htemselves) who wanted to go back into the late 14th century.

To let you two know, Ruby Ridge isn't some fictional event made for Rossi's backstory. It was a real event.

PrincessVi

Ruby ridge was a real standoff. Prior to it happening i believe us marshals shot and killed a dog and a 14 year old with a gun. Then followed by killing of the marshal that shot. Then on ruby ridge an fbi sniper shot the 2 suspects but the second shot also went through the doorway and killed one of the girlfriends/wife (I think SO might be wrong) then it was civilians that actually were able to negotiate the end of the standoff. That's why it's so significant for this here. Happened in 1992 i think

Jack's World

Morgan’s conspiracy comments were def more conspiracies back in 2005-2007 💀

Philip Roy

No spoilers: Ruby ridge was a real fbi incident not related to Rossi's "unfinished busines". Ruby ridge was initially between Us marshals and the weaver family after randy weaver didnt show up to a court date. An initial shootout killed 1 marshall and a 14 year old sam weaver. An fbi tactical team surrounded the weaver cabin and an fbi sniper shot and killed weavers wife vicki weaver she was behind a cabin door at the time holding her infant child. The weaver family stood down after civillian negotiators persuaded them to stand down. The fbi got a lot of crap for this which may explain why they surrounded waco but never fired a shot to avoid repeating this mistake unfortunately it turned out much worse.

GamingHour2018

Ruby Ridge was a 1992 deadly 11-day siege in Boundary County, Idaho, where federal law enforcement officers confronted white separatist Randy Weaver, resulting in three deaths and fueling the modern American militia movement. Following the initial gunfire, the FBI deployed a tactical unit with rules of engagement authorizing deadly force against any armed adult. An FBI sniper shot and killed Weaver's wife, Vicki Weaver, while she stood behind a cabin door holding her infant baby. Randy Weaver and Kevin Harris were also wounded by sniper fire.

Manny Fleurmond

Ruby Ridge is an actual event from the 90s; a hostage situation gone sour.

Adrian

Just to add a bit more context because I think it’s important to include: The dog was shot bc it was reported to have been running/charging at the officers. Samuel Weaver (the 14 yo) was shot after he open fired on the fbi/marshals, which is what made Kevin Harris kill one of the Marshalls in retaliation.

Deagor

They love JJ, they feel protective of Reid, They've adopted and accepted Emily. They like Morgan (but Alicia wants to hate him cause he's too damn perfect :D). They don't understand Hotch. They like him sorta but I don't think they appreciate the amount of effort he puts in to manage the team, herd this group of oddballs, also be a contributing member of the team all while managing FBI/Behind the scenes politics. So they don't hate him but I don't think they fully appreciate him either. Rossi I think the question is open for him, Ant seems very sus of him and Alicia seems more, hot Italian man give him benefit of the doubt :P

Deagor

Correct. .30-06 is 7.62×63mm for the record (honestly had to google that one because 30-06, is 30-06). The "standard" AR15 in general is 5.56x45 you will also see it in .223 - but 5.56 and .223 are basically the same round (identical dimensions, different pressures and rifling). But the AR15 is basically a whole family of rifles, which means technically with some fully above board modifications it can also shoot like .300 Blackout(7.62×35 mm) and 6.8 (M468 - 6.8x43mm). According to Wikipedia there is also a 9x19 and a .458 (11.63×40) variant...so ye. Between the mods, the civilian vs Military version debate and so much else there's a reason pretty much every semi-automatic rifle in US "gun control" discourse just gets called an "AR-15 like/type" rifle/assault weapon, pretty sure you can turn it into a tap dancer with off the shelf parts.

Rustic Randy

Ammo info! This episode only mentions "7.62" ammo. That is just the diameter of the bullet in millimeters. There is 7.62x39 and 7.62x54R which are Russian or just European in origin. There is also 7.62x51 NATO which is the same as .308 Winchester (U.S. made). NATO is used for military purposes and Winchester is for civilian purposes, mostly hunting. There are more ammo dimensions starting with 7.62 that also have a different designation. It's all metric vs imperial.

Rodney Chaffer

Armourer here. America uses 7.62nato in all their machine guns, The M240 M60 etc a lot of polices and army also use it as a primary round in their sniper rifles. the 7.62nato and 308 winchester are so similar rounds that they are functionally interchangeable, the only difference is the angle of the bullet case neck.

Werguild

You've talked about listening to CreepCast before; Wendigoon did a tear down about Ruby Ridge, maybe that might interest you ta watch

Adrian C

There are many variations of 7.62, the non-American version would be 7.62x39mm in which the Russians had it first. They have brought it to America and now some ARs do shoot it but it’s mostly obsolete.

MorbiDevi

this episode reminded me i have have a weird backlog of information about medieval torture stored somewhere in my head, like, i recognise most of those torture tools.

GamerGx1

There's a lot of American made weapons that use 7.62. Personally I'm more of a 5.56 but that's personal preference from my time in the army.

Filthy Casual

Ant meaty balls recipe when? Floof vid 12

Michael

Alot of notes. Randy was not white separatist. He did do odd jobs for them and sell them guns , but that is common mistake. Do to alot lying and exaggerating by different Agencies randy and his family was made out to be far more dangerous than they actually were. Rule of Engagement was kill on scene which was unnecessary. Vicky was in full retreat when she was blown away.

Michael

Alicia if you want a full breakdown of Ruby Rigde Weenigoon Did a video breakdown. The siege at Ruby Ridge by weenigoon

GamingHour2018

i pull this information straight from google also he was a self-proclaimed white separatist

Kassie Delong
