I found the second to last episode GARBAGE. It confused the story. Why were they so preferential of the youngest if it wasn't about the demon bride thing? Are we supposed to feel bad for her? Whats the point. Then the next episode barely anything happens and the show is over. Fun ride poor ending.

It's really a reoccurring theme with this story about women not understanding how Demon Brides work. Our protagonist doesn't understand how she's loved, her sister doesn't understand how they can both be cherished, their mother doesn't understand, the former fiancé' doesn't. And more than that, just over and over.

1 hour in. A good hearted young girl, comically evil family members, a prince falls in love with her with no ulterior motives and begins to fix all her problems. Bitch this is a classic fairy tale. It refreshing to have something not dripping with irony, subversion or insincerity

I doubt you are going to get that season 2 you want, but... Since you liked this I STRONGLY recommend taking another stab at Fruits Basket. It has all of the good points of this one (or at least 90+% of them?) without the "Obsession but we frame it like its a good thing" vibes. (Although it will also make you cry.)

It's a youngest child thing, but it didn't seem to be severe until after they got the demon bride grooming idea into their heads.

Yeah, it's the golden child stereotype of "They're destined for greatness" and "Oh they're just finding themself" but in this case, the Good Thing actually happened which just entrenched the behavior even more.

Not true they specifically only get her an orange juice and get the other kid what she wants before hand. We see no increase its just as bad before and after.
