I hate that I was right about the guy in the coffee shop at the beginning. This episode was made in the early 2000s and while Garcia is objectively gorgeous she isn’t stick insect thin which was the style at the time, she’s also a nerd before being nerdy was cool. So the show (incorrectly) thinks that no sane man could ever want to be with her. Therefore, if a conventionally attractive man starts hitting on her, he must be a murderer. I did not want to be right about this.
