Pretty sure Kiril works for a different company from Arasaka, Arasaka were the ones conducting some kind of project involving Talia, Kiril's company was trying to steal that data from Arasaka.

My heart goes out to you. I can't even imagine the trauma you've had to deal with but I'm so thankful you're still here. As for the show, I think talia was suffering from a wasting disease of some kind so her parents chromed her, probably without her consent. This fully explains how she treated Roman when she first met him. She was jealous that he could be fully ganic and didn't understand why someone would want to be.

About Talia and Kiril (Avida's husband) - I think the dynamics is such that from Talia's side, she does despise him and sees him as representative of her drive and need for more and more cyberware. But from Kiril's side, I think he genuinely does care for Talia, sees cyberware as the only option to extending her life, but is extremely misguided and increasingly drawn to the potential benefits her high cyberware integration could have to his work (through esteem by his boss). He's corpo, after all, and his values are thus about supporting the company the family is a part of, and part of that is inculcating those same values to the next generation.
