You are right about Stolas saying Blitzo was his first and only friend, it just now has the added context of when Stolas and Vassago parted ways, Stolas was only "friends" with Blitzo, and the first person he ever connected with like that was Bitzo, so he just assumed they were friends. So it's just a case of right wording, different meaning.

Alicia's casual relationship is a friend may be influencing her confusion. Like I could also not see someone for decades and still consider them a friend but I'd say a 20 year gap would make most people no longer consider that person a "friend" simply from disconnection.

I wonder about what's going through Stella's mind, we can really say she's a villain, but she was roped into a marriage, and throughout her entire life it seems she wasn't taught anything or even has control over her own life. She's definitely in the wrong for the abuse but I wonder if it's just her lashing out at a world that sees her lesser than.

I get the conflict, but also I just don’t want to see Blitzo and Stolas get together. It’s one thing to heal and become better people together, it’s another to forgive and forget all the trauma they’ve each put each other thru. I want them both to heal, Stolas ends up with Vassago, and Blitzo, final episode of series, meets someone he can start dating happily loving himself for who he has become by the end of the series. A fresh start sort of ending.

I think I know the line you're misremembering, in The Circus (S2Ep1) during the flashback where we see Blitz stealing the book for the first time Stolas excitedly calls Blitz his "FIRST ever friend", not his ONLY ever friend.

Stolas did say "First ever friend" to be fair, not only friend, but hey... sometimes a bit of reworking and retconning happens during show development in order to make for better storylines and drama, you can't plan everything perfectly from the start after all.

I don't think you misserembered anything from S2 :) If anything, I think you just missed / skimmed over something in THIS episode: Stolas and Vassago start thier conversation by highlighting a couple of times that "it's been 20 years!" So it can be assumed they literally haven't spoken since Stolas chose his duty over a relationship with Vassago. Like, Zero interaction. None. And yes, despite them being in the same royal social circles ^^' So that would still make Blitz Stolas' only friend. Because after 20 years and no contact, I can see how Stolas didn't count Vassago as a friend.

I just cant justify stolas here, the only reason that locket is even saved is because blitz made this plan, and after all of that, instead of giving blitz a sit down convo, he goes all in on vassago? Just screams unintentional manipulation or using of blitz man

alicia noticing the details about stella during the stolas diary flashback 🤌 it's hard to feel for her in current day but watching her in the flashbacks u get reminded of how she was also forced into the marriage from a young age to birth an heir while her actions and properties were also being controlled by the men in her life

I think that as much as it sucks for Blitz rn, he won’t ever be able to feel like he was really “chosen” if he was the only option Stolas had. Stolas getting to experience an easy happy relationship and realizing that Blitz is the one he truly wants feels more satisfying. But man does Blitz need a hug ;-;
