I absolutely LOVED seeing you *both* make an off-hand joke about The Blue Spirit being Zuko AND not guessing it was him until the reveal! ^^ I think what threw you off was that the timeline between Zuko being on the ship and The Blue Spirit spying on Zhao is unclear. Probably *intentionally* so. This is easily one of my favourite episodes of the show. Seeing how much Zuko can do without *any* firebending is so cool. But also... tragic? From Ep1 he's been *obsessed* with proving he can keep up with the best firebenders. (Which is probably influenced by non-benders being devalued) But he doesn't need to, does he? Zuko kicks Firebender ASS here, without a single bending move of his own. It's sad to see him excel at something he doesn't even value himself. Which, you know, is why the show is so good ^^ (add it to the *pile* of reasons)

You know what makes the intro funnier. Don't think of him hitting that rock as a one off. He's doing that each time the opening plays. He just gets amnesia every time he hits it and does it again the next episode.

Yes, legend of korra is def worth the watch. its based around a slightly older protagonist so that has a different effect on things. Its also awesome to see how the world the show develops evolve after a considerable amount of time

There are worse series to cover than Legend of Korra, but there are certainly better ones. Don't consider it a continuation of ATLA.

By far this episode is in my top five of the series, the fight scenes, the music, the plot THE FREAKING PLOT. Lol also yes korra is a definite watch, I don’t care what people say it’s a masterpiece too.

Everyone's talking about Legend of Korra. It's a fun show, but very different. It has a new gang, and a new avatar. There's hints of nostalgia everywhere, but ultimately it's a very different show with very different goals and storytelling which the creators fought tooth and nail against Nick's constant disruptions to get made and aired. It's less cohesive but each episode also progresses the narrative of the currently running arc. As far as The Last Airbender goes though... Zuko is a badass. Aang is still Aang, master of airbending. The animators really stepped up their game here with the choreography of the fights.

Please watch Legend of Korra afterwards. It's a different kind of show, but I believe you would really like it.

Watch Legend of Korra. It's a lesser show in terms of quality of characters and storytelling, somewhat due to production disputes, but there's writing you just can't excuse in plenty of places. Moreso than ATLA. Honestly though, for that sake of just fully grasping the Avatar experience, you should watch it. And the Live action movie to, just to share in all our pain and be truly initiated as an Avatar fan.

Things to keep in mind if you watch Legend of Korra, the creators of the show had a very difficult time. From not knowing that there will be a Book 2, 3 4 Later on, less money, changes in the airing times, leading to less view, leading to less money, to changes to purely online slots, not on air. And yes you should watch it, it expands the World even more, and deals with with other issues that, growing adults will have.

There you go making crazy predictions like crazy 😂. This episode has some amazing animation and choreography. As for Korra, i couldn't get into it. Mostly cause it doesn't have the same cast. Just didn't feel the same without Sokka

I would say definitely watch Legend of Korra it's a great sequel - it doesn't measure up in many ways (the creators had a few issues including never really knowing how many seasons they'd get) but some of the themes are my favourite across both shows. Also thank you so much for doing these, they're a fun half hour which brighten up the day!

holy shit, this is the first time I ever noticed this episode was directed by Dave Filoni. He is the head creative behind Star Wars Clone Wars, Rebels, and the Mandalorian

Seeing Dave Filoni (of Star Wars Clone Wars, Rebels, Mando etc fame) storyboard some of these eps, and direct others such as this one, is so cool to see because you can see how this series was establishing things he would utilize in those other shows.
