something that i didn't realize until now cause of watching it back to back essentially with you, but Erwin and Jotaro share a japanese voice actor. Also, I think hose that stayed to join the survey corps, they feared more innocent people having to face the titans. Sometimes fear for others motivates well beyond your own personal fears

I'm super late, but I had to say into the void, Jean is my favorite. I can relate to him more than any other character.

Chelly

next episode is where the show starts getting really good imo

MONDO

*unfolds lawn chair, puts on shades, and crosses legs* yea, Jean is pretty great!, *flashes a Jean fan club badge on shirt collar*

Tachyon Fast

Big fan of the outfit changes!

Orple

First time I watched this show, I loved Jean more than any other *flashes a Jean fan club badge on shirt collar*

Jean is my favourite! There's another character who's in close competition but we can't really talk about that character yet. Man, the scene where they join the survey corps and everyone who leaves are like streaming around them with Call your Name playing is one of my favourite scenes in the show. I love that they use the same music from Eren plugging the hole for this scene, this act of just making the decision to put your life on the line is given the same gravitas as humanity's first victory, it's brilliant. I find it interesting when they use the phrase "Offer up your hearts", in Japanese they use shinzou, 心臓, as opposed to kokoro, 心. Usually when you're talking about heart as in your soul or whatever it's 心 but when you're talking about the organ, the flesh of your body, it's 心臓. So when they say to offer your heart that's not just figurative, that's literally give your flesh and blood for the cause, if you're not willing to do that you better stay home. Oh right, and you mentioned Mappa? Just checking if you know but Mappa only took over Attack on Titan in season 4, first three seasons were animated by Wit Studio. There was some grumling in the switch but I personally think both studios did good. You'll notice a big jump in quality going to season 2 as Wit's budget increased.

Is it just me or is it Patreon's player not loading?

Joey Cat

Getting the same problem Noltem, not sure whats happening.

James Decker

Attack on Titan is actually animated by Wit studio, MAPPA takes over later.

I can't watch this now without thinking of how your friends at the back are judging you the whole time XD, but they the real ones for supporting you. Also Jeans character has come so far, went from hating him to respecting him in only a few episodes.

I agree that the aot sub is pretty good too. but there are a lot of moments where the sub actors pop tf off that just can’t hit as hard in the dub. Think about Armins scream when eren gets eaten

Lazy Swordsman

I think the outfits are pretty awesome!

Tardis_Dragon49

yooo the custom outfits are so cool, Fits the vibe so well

Sacher Blackstone

Love the new outfits. But don't feel you have to break bank on getting new ones to keep us happy. I know they can be expensive. I'm also real glad to hear you have people with you in these hard times. Take care.

sapandstars

The outfits are great! The scene of Jean deciding to join the Survey Corps is one of my favorite in the whole series. His character development is top notch, and he really does Marco's memory justice.

Jon C

Whoever said it gets really easy later on for Marco and Berthold is a legend.
