The memes write themselves in JOJO

Glad Ant picked up on J Geil. Censoring names is gonna happen a lot so listening closely to what they're actually saying is key if you want to pick up the references. IIRC the tarot card stand names are all the same though cause obviously they don't need censoring.

Paulico

For the musical references, i can suggest some videos that compile the references for each part (1 video per part) Some of the localized name can be really tricky if we don't pay attention to what they say directly (good job for the Jay Geils one) and some from the other eps where missed (like Captain Dragon from ep 6 being Captain Tenille (referencing... well, Captain & Tenille) and Soul Sacrifice from ep 8 being Devo (refering...Devo-) So yeah But really enjoyable to see you pick up some references and enjoying the show. Hope it'll continue on this nice way

Fury

happy new year from japan Alecia. i hope this coming year is full of joy and pleasant news from start to end. :)

And continuing with the enemy Stands being loosely based on horror movie stuff, Yellow Temperance is Araki's take on The Blob. And maybe also The Thing.

Joey Cat

What a great guy and editor, how sweet of him way to go Ozzu! (Hope I spelled that right) <3. Creepy and funny episode all in one package, only with JoJo can you have this kinda shit happen XD. Never seen that Valkyrie show but hot damn there really is a JoJo reference in every anime! These morbid jokes man Jesus hahah, thanks for the reactions you two :).

JoJo's bizarre adventure: All Dogs Must Die

Dysike

I feel like you can learn a lot about someone by how they react to the cherry scene

Reiko Lupus

Yeah, when Araki wants to show that a character is completely evil, he has them kill a dog. Araki loves animals, especially dogs, so for him there is no more powerful sign of evil than hurting a doggo XD. And yeah, now the Stands go with the theme of the Tarot cards, but in later Parts they will go full-on Music References with all the names XD.

Bastiwen

Hey shoutout to the editor for doing such a great job at only 19! Oh and cable cars are not really different than busses in most instances, like when you go skiing you are nearly 100% going to be in a cable car with strangers. And Centerfold's real name is indeed J. Geil so +1 Ant :D

Ivan

+1 for the Editor

Luis Cruz

I'm sure people have already pointed this out but the Author Araki decided to change it up with Tarot cards + Color for this first part of Stardust Crusaders. The musical references in the first 15-20 episodes are gonna be scarce and usually it'll be the human stand user. Once Araki runs out of Tarot cards then you'll go back to the wild references for either the user or the stand.

Juinichi Hibiki

The real question is where Jotaro's hat ends and his hair begins.

Ronuster

jo daddy coud be a good nick name for jospeh

VJ Sins

Centerfold IS J.Geil in the manga, but they used Centerfold to avoid the copyright
