I have been so, so insanely happy with this adaptation. I was a *huge* fan of the manga so to get such a beautiful, heartfelt reworking has been beyond my wildest expectations. I think my favorite aspect right now is, like, a lot of the more emotional moments we've been seeing (Akira confessing his first love, him apologizing to Kencho) were more played up for laughs in the manga with goofy imagery, but here they really shine a more humanistic, heartfelt light on it and it's just... AGH MAN IT'S SO GOOD IM SO HAPPY AND IM SO GLAD EVERYONES ENJOYING IT!!!!!

Kencho told Akira he has balls of steel, and then quickly proved that his are not with that scratch.

Sancturillore -- Élie Simard-Wallot

Honestly, had Kencho not stripped in mid-air, his momentum would've likely been enough to cross fully to the other building. He almost died because he stripped like that.

Something I've noticed is that while the many colors of blood like plaint are always there in the spatters in the background, we only ever see those colors on the zombies themselves when the main character is present. When scenes are from the perspective of other characters, the blood on the zombies is only red instead of a mix of paint colors. I think this shows how much the mc's mental state got weird from his experiences, with how everything looked colorless to him from stress and overwork. And now this is how he sees the world. Because, no matter how fun it might be to watch an mc with a personality like this during an apocalypse like this one, we have to acknowledge that it's not a normal mental state to be that hyper in such circumstances.

I'd love to see Re:Zero as a series on this channel. It would be an interesting reaction for sure.

I'd rather be eaten by a zombie than have my balls scraped against a building. Pain from ball trauma is the definition of "This pain different😰"

I think at the end of this episodes credits, its shows Shou and that little girl walking along some railroad tracks together. I hope they're doing well.
