I fucking lost it at the fine wine and white castle comments lmao. I grew up in Chicago and I've seen to the 3am white castle on so many occasions. Especially after concerts. YOU AREN'T WRONG. But I love seeing how much you're enjoying this series, it's very quickly earned a special place in my heart alongside stuff like Mob Psycho 100, Chainsaw Man, and Ancient Magus Bride. It just has a lot of heart and passion behind it and the writing and animation really give it a shine.

Okay, this is where I draw the line. As a native german speaker the names in this anime are a bit cringy honestly. All of them are just very basic german words, although I guess they also serve as very basic discriptors of the characters and their personalities: Frieren (Shivering/to be cold), Himmel (Sky/Heaven), Eisen (Iron), Heiter (Cheerful), Fern (Distant/Far Away), Stark (Strong), Flamme (Flame). I already thought Qual (Torment) was a little on the nose, but I honestly can't with them calling the demon ambassador Lügner (Liar). Gee, I wonder if the guy is gonna be trusthworthy or not?

I just can't agree with you on Capital Punishment. In order to support Capital Punishment you either have to be naive enough to believe that the government both doesn't make mistakes and would never weaponize that power to get rid of people they just don't like, or believe that it's okay for innocent people to die for a crime they didn't commit just to continue being allowed to punish the people who do commit heinous crimes and deserve it. Beyond that, the death penalty actually costs taxpayers *MORE* money in the long run than just incarcerating a person for the rest of their natural life. And at least with lifetime incarceration, you have the opportunity to fix your mistake, or at least atone and try to make it right. Once you kill a person, that's it, all you can do when you make that mistake is try and make the family whole, you'll never be able to give that person their life back. It's fundamentally inhumane and contradictory. You don't get to say that people have the unalienable right to life, but then turn around and say "unless society decides you deserve to die."
