“Aura, kill yourself” is one of the most cold-blooded finishing moves I have ever seen. Then social media went and followed it up with the meme “Aura, kill yourself socially” - I would highly recommend checking that out. Its crazy.

So let me get this straight. She's a lazy slob, stays up all night, sleeps until noon, is unapologetically racist, and tells people to kill themselves. Frieren's a gamer!

The best part about Frieren showing off her mana is that this happened AFTER Frieren had used up a bunch of her mana dispelling Aura's control over the knights, which Aura pointed out as something that uses up a lot of mana. She even comments she wasted her time exhausting Frieren's mana as she's approaching and should've just used the scales from the start.

9:45 Wait a sec, I just noticed, but those insects are copulating! WTF!? Why intentionally draw that? XD

Frieren straight up casting Low Tier God powers and not even caring to watch. Also the meme with her eyes glowing like LTG is so fucking good.

Now we understand the circle Freiren drew around baby fern when she was training.

My girl loves her some cute random magic spells but she's also just as passionate about getting her revenge.

Aziouss

Alicia was literally discombobulated by that ending! ps: I've been waiting to use that word.

My interpretation of why Flamme told Frieren to not make a name for herself was so she could spend all that time training an suppressing her Mana until when she really needed it, if she would have gone around adventuring before hand that would have painted a target on her back, and would have been hunted leaving her less time training to suppress her Mana.

16:55 "I hope she defeat the demon king" She already defeated the demon king 80 years ago, Alicia XD

Something about you just saying "mosquitos" at the water striders in the middle of this reaction really tickled me. Thanks for the bonus serotonin!

Very late, but in regards to Feirein's master telling her not to leave her name, it's less "You will be remembered if you defeat the demon king" and more akin to their training with mana. "Conceal yourself, don't draw attention, deceive the demons until you can reach their king" sort of mindset. If she was known to be a powerful elven mage, making waves so to speak. They'd take her seriously and be cautious, looking to learn more about her. But if she takes the OP hermit route, where no records ever exist of just how powerful she is or what she's done, there is no counter to her. After all, what use is it to an elf to be remembered by humans for a few centuries?

Flamme beings *Insanely* hot is an Extremely based take :P The BRUTALITY of Frieren telling Aura to kill herself is *fantastically* animated! Not to mention the the raw HATRED she and Flamme have towards Demons. To the point that it dictates their day-to-day. JUST to get a little closer to that full Genocide they're both wishing for. Like, it's dark. But it's good. And the show has done a good job showing us that Demons aren't people.

you know you can make up whatever headcanon you want about random art glimpses. like Frieren is laying on a house-sized animal. What if she was giving it hospice care in the final years of its life, and it was like an eight-year relationship she had with this creature.

Bro this episode had me sobbing. Frieren just being alone for all those years got me….she took it w such humility. She’s so humble and then bam Himmel and the party show up to finally join her for a blink of sn eye in her lifespan.

I'm almost certain that "Kill yourself" is the reason Aura's army is *known* as Headless. Before, it was mentioned that she takes care of her enemies in the most "logical way" once she's tipped the scales. So Frieren once again kills a Sage of Destruction in the same manner that they killed so many of her own.

So... I'm *really* novice at Japanese, but from what few words I know from Japanese it sounds like she says "Jigaishira" which (to me) seems less like "Kill yourself" and more like "Go to hell," since the Japanese word for hell is "Jigoku." But I, as a novice, I can't confirm. Either way that line goes hard. I had a similar reaction when I first watched this. Like did Frieren seriously turn into an internet edgelord for a second?!

That shot where Frieren lets her mana be revealed in full glory is so cool, and my favorite part is how Aura is still several steps away and yet the aura goes nearly double the distance past that 😂

What I really love about this whole "Suppressing Mana thing" is that it's the exact same concept that Dragon Ball uses. (Those of you who might be upset I dared to mention Dragon Ball in the same breath as Frieren. Cool your jets, this comparison is not about comparing one's quality over another but instead, it's noting similarities and how neat those similarities are when found elsewhere. I've had my head bitten off by a HXH Fan before and I don't want to re-experience that kind of toxicity here) Anyway, In Dragon Ball, starting in the Saiyan arc (the first arc of Z), this exact same concept is introduced. Characters like the antagonists for this arc and beyond used devices to translate battle power to numbers. They basically translate Ki/Energy (for dub fans) into a number to determine how strong someone is, most should know what a Power Level is. The main cast however, have developed a way to "Suppress their Ki" either to make themselves undetectable by their foes devices or senses or to lower their Power Level to a certain point. The first use is obvious, (stealth) but the second use is so their opponents will read their Power Level go "They're only a Power Level of 5." and surprise them by bumping up their power beyond what they are expecting. The bad guys are caught off guard, and we got fun reactions of them trying to wrap their head around what's going on. It's very similar if not the exact same use as Frieren's use of it, used for stealth or to fool demon's into thinking their opponent is weaker than they really are. A funny thing about that, is that it was officially introduced against an opponent whose literal name is "Aura". Some pretty fun stuff.
