them going to whinry would tell the enemy 2 things and cause them to take certain actions. first they would see that the elrics as well as lings allies HAVENT stopped plotting against them and arent just doing as they are told and two, it would tell them lan fan is still alive and currently more than weak enough to be truly no threat or any trouble to deal with meaning they could easily set up a trap with normal soldiers to have her and fu killed and that would risk whinrys life as the bait for the trap. beyond that the noose around ed and als necks would either tighten as whinry would be perhaps kidnapped or imprisoned or it would outright snap as she either would be killed accidentally in said trap OR just outright killed for their disobediance with than they would move on to the next most important person to them that they can find and threaten them with the added leverage of knowing just about anyone who they have interacted with and would care about and having shown even what you woulda thought would be the most important hostage could be killed and they wont care.

Scar destroying Marcoh's face was partly for practical reasons, yes, but my head canon has always been that he also just wanted to vent some rage towards Marcoh, despite knowing he couldn't kill him.

Tough to see the slow down of episodes for FMAB since it was the only reason I subscribed to Patreon. Not to say all the other shows are terrible but it feels like every other week we have a different show coming in and I am just sitting here like please get through the second half of fmab since you are about to hit half way through next episode

To add some additional context, Knox suffers from PTSD and in one episode he nearly killed his wife. That’s why they separated and why he is so emotional about getting to enjoy a peaceful moment with his family

I feel so bad for Knox and I'm so happy he gets deserved grace and good will from family. He wasn't in combat but working on so many burnt corpses left by Roy messed him up as a doctor who meant to treat the living. It led to what most of the comments about Knox have said. Cases like his are common. Though they vary in degree, it really sucks when traumatic experiences hurt everyone involved and they end up separating. Trauma can strain a loving relationship through robbing the affected person's happiness, making them feel somewhat separated and lonely on top of the inner torment. It hurts infinitely more when that separation is voluntary to keep one of the spouse's more extreme PTSD episodes from hurting their loved ones. No one did anything wrong, yet, a bane entered their lives that they didn't deserve and it tore apart a family, even if they have and always will love each other.

I think one thing a lot of people don't realize is that the characters from Xing are based of of the Japanese... a proud and strong people. I personally believe the slap was more for her sake than his. Like he knew she wouldn't be able to forgive herself if he didn't first discipline her how she felt she deserve to be.
