aw yeah, been waiting for this one specifically.

History fact: in the 1500's a famous swiss alchemist and physician was named Philippus Aureolus Theophrastus Bombastus von Hohenheim which are the names the Dwarf gives him.

TheTrashBandit

Fun fact: Hohenheim's name(s) are inspired by an alchemist known as Paracelsus (Full name Philippus Aureolus Theophrastus Bombastus von Hohenheim). The writer of FMAB took a lot of inspiration from history and actual alchemical theories/concepts from way back - alchemy was essentially the predecessor of modern chemistry.

The interesting thing about Hoenheim is that his name (and some of the other suggestions of it) are literally the name of a historical Swiss chemist/alchemist who was also known as Paracelcus (his full name is Philippus Aureolus Theophrastus Bombastus von Hohenheim). He is known as one of the founders of modern toxicology, with his most well known doctrine is "the dose makes the poison." Really interesting dude to look up.

I knew this one was going to hit hard. You actually took it better than I feared.

Bit on Alicia situation, It is okay to accept mortality. However if you are going out, then do so with fists up n' fighting! Seek to prolong your life, as long as it does no harm to others. Bit hard thing for me to tell others as i don't follow this myself sadly, but: How can you see beautiful sunrise if you wallow in darkness of the room without windows. You can't say you have lived if you don't value your own life, life of others and value the world. I myself don't value my own self much, but i do plan to better myself step-by-step!

I do love how right after we hear Hoenhiem say "I am a philosopher stone in the form of a man" we get the after credit scene of Ed and friends having a conversation about how many lives it would take to make a philosopher stone bigger than what they've seen so far, and then Ed says he wouldn't ever wanna see it.

Golden Witch Beatrice

Now with the father/Hohenheim reveal shown it should be mentioned that while Father has the seven sins, Hohenheim has the seven virtues! The seven virtues are chastity, temperance, charity, diligence, patience, kindness, and humility. Edit** this isn’t a spoiler considering it’s never stated but could definitely be implied

Aight... I agree about loving a girl that eats good but what are your thoughts about that one first date over in Atlanta where the woman ordered like 5 dozens oysters, streamed the whole time her eating, and disregarded the guy who took her out most of the time. He ended up just walking out on her at the restaurant.

Kaz

I love the new opening song, but yeah Azu made the right call to skip for now

Koirby

29:40 was the most genuine honest-to-god horror, confusion, and despair I think I've heard in a person's voice in a long, long time. Put that in Alicia's voice acting reel cause that was *it*

Karystma

It just hit me how close we are to the end wow

Anzac-A1

7:05 Fun fact, during the gold rush in America, bears were often pitted against various animals in fights, to entertain the miners. When they brought in a lion, the bear crushed its skull with a single blow. So in a fight between bears and tigers, the bears will win every single time.

KuroOberon

hey alicia, hope you had a great christmas!

Noahthehoneyboy

I’m glad you remembered the first intro because that was one of my favorite reveals of this show.

Fun fact, the voice actor for young Hohenheim is the voice actor for Al from the 2003 version of FMA. He was the same age as Al when he voiced him, and did a great job. The cast and the fandom loved him. He grew up and his voice changed, so he obviously couldn't return to voice Al in Brotherhood, so they got him in for a cameo this episode.

FunkyOnion

Theophrastus Bombastus von Hohenheim, the father of alchemy I love the trivia behind the names in this animoo

OP4 and ED4 are the best in the series, fer shur.

The voice of young Hohenheim is the original english voice of AL, he voiced al when he was a kid so he couldn't do the voice again

Aziouss

It’s funny that alicia doesn’t understands way peopl will wanna live longer, i sure won’t turn my nose up at the idea of living 200+ years more! There is so much in the Univers that I will love to explore if i could live wayyy longer that what? Untill 40 were my health will start to deteriorate? And old age doesn’t allow you to do the things you wanna
