I actually think that thinking about the morals is part of the fun of the show. It's the uncertainty about whether or not what they are doing is okay, the differences between Butcher and Hughie, it's all part of the dark fun. And it feeds back into the smaller stuff too, like A-Train's fake ass and all the fucked up rednecks bringing kids to a gun conference. So go off! The audience is meant to think about whether or not this stuff is fucked up and how fucked up it is.
