Yeah, FMAB doesn't save things for season finales. It's all one bigass dramatic movie

Kampela

14 Episodes left, Alicia you better ask your sister how many episodes you should binge in row. Things are going to full steam now! :D

Pcdruid

I hope you start binging this one more in the near future. One Piece and This are both going to really pop off in the next several episodes :)

"We have plenty of injured, but no fatalities!" Literally two seconds after the men from Briggs show up: "Nevermind, we now have 102% fatalities."

Circuitdoodles

Hohenheim pretending to be a perv to mess with Ed and the rest of them was so funny non of them would have really tried that hard to stop her if she had to go but he saw his chance to do a bit.

Octavia

The wait until Saturday is gonna be so long. I hope she finishes the show next time. Oh and i hope she reacts to the bloopers after as well

RaineM27

Izumi's red eyes in that group shot always kill me XD

Alicia touches upon something I have also talked about in other episodes, but I love how FMAB respects the underlings and minor characters, and make them all feel like people. Be it the central soldiers, Charlie and the rest of his squad, the Chimeras or the minor Briggs characters. The show gives them unique designs and even distinct personalities, even if it is only from a couple of lines. And the show respects their lives (Even if Briggs don´t). Which it needs to, because otherwise the Eldric brothers whole philosophy would kinda fall apart thematically. I think that the Chimera are the best examples of this, being villainous muscle who team up with the heroes, mainly due to the fact that the heroes showed them kindness and treated them as people whose lives had worth. Compared to their former masters who treated them as utterly expendable. But other characters, like Havoc or Marie Ross are also good examples of it. I can´t help but compare FMAB sometimes to other shows where the MC have the whole "Life is precious" thing, but kills plenty of expendable mooks, who are all treated as non-entities. Or shows where they talk about how important a character is to a MC, only for them to quietly disappear from the story and relevancy as it goes on. Which is why I love the fact that both Havoc and Ross returns for this and are able to greatly help others. I feel it really reinforces the story´s focus on the importance of bonds between people and the value of life. Mustang spared and helped Ross, and now she can repay the favor. Mustang inspired Havoc and believed in him, and now he shows that Mustang was right to do so. Hughes died 40 episodes ago, and he is still remembered by the story and characters. No one is forgotten, everyone matters (Again, unless Briggs are involved because they will murder the shit out of you and then make fun of you afterwards).

Alicia, from this point on consider everything to be one long season finale! This roller coaster ain't slowing down now!!!!

Nathan

Interesting how Ed's philosophy of not killing managed to worm it's way into the people he interacted with, even if it wasn't on purpose and even if they have ulterior motives.

DaniDeFig

Fantastic analysis as always Alicia! Yeah, it'd make the most sense if those things were released in the Series Finale. Except... we're IN the Series Finale now ^^' Yeah, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood basically has a 10+ episode Finale. With the previous 5~ Epidoes just *Maximizing* the hype :P

Memento Forever

It's been over a year now since I've started watching Alicia, from JoJo to One Piece and other shows inbetween, time passes fast, I'm so happy she is cancer free in 2024. FMAB has been goated, watching someone react to a show you already seen before is an amazing way to regain that feeling of watching something for the first time, secondhand through the reactor. So much better than watching something a second time alone.

I like how it's like a common trick in the show to act like a perv or ladies man as a cover or distraction, because it's such an easy thing to accept as truth. Nobody questions Roy meeting a bunch of different women, because of course they think a young, famous, very successful and wealthy man is a lady killer going around on plenty of dates and meeting escorts. It's an easy story to accept as true, so nobody thinks there's a hidden motive. Same thing with Hohenheim. They immediately assume he's just being a pervy old man, but I think Ed saw through it with that last look. He knows his dad isn't after any other women, that it was just an excuse.

These Episodes are tooo short!!!!!

Darkendreign

Excited for the next chunk. Some real bangers

Crazyone

"I thought this was gonna be season finale type beat" This whole season is the start of the finale. One Big and Chaotic battle With so many twists and turns I won't dare spoil. One thing I will say though. Please make the last binge set be the final 5 (60-64).

KaijinGarou

Your belligerent neighbour Havoc.

DarkRaveNight

I'm just going to say this once. Please watch the VA outtakes for the show. They are hilarious!

Yeah I think it's about time I just cancel my sub, I'm really only here for the OP reactions & we hardly even get them anymore, let alone any video since Tuesday. Every other show here literally shit's on the amount of episodes OP gets. OP has gotten 8 episodes since December 1st, compared to FMAB with 28, my hero, frieren, bocchi & ig the boys since those are hour long episodes. I'll probably just wait a year & see where OP is at then, at this pace we'd be lucky to reach ep 300 by then. Love the channel but the lack of OP over the past few months has done it for me

JackPrice

Just wanna say it's been awesome reliving FMAB through your watch-through. It's been, like, 14 years since I watched it. I feel ancient. Looking forward to starting on your One Piece vids once this series is done

Philip Roy

Op 1145 episodes 300 of which actually include relevant plot, id space it out too but then I hate filler but given alicia watched 1.35 episodes of luffys meandering adventure per day id post a thank you comment now
