True Story: Chicken Nuggets!
Hey everyone!
Last week was busy and this weekend was also really eventful, I’ve not had any time to write. I’ll try to rectify this issue Friday and Saturday, but we’ll see what happens. I’m doing my best. My schedule with work is working against me right now, and I’m currently in the process of moving with my GF to a new apartment, so that’s time consuming too. My patreon income continues to be a big help, so I certainly want to keep producing quality content to keep things going on here. My posts have been a little sporadic this month, but I’ll still make sure I hit my monthly wordcount.
I’ve had a long and stressful day, which makes it a little difficult for me to put my writing hat on and get creative, but this weekend I recalled a true story that’s worth sharing on here.
A while back I wrote a true story titled: “An Ex Got Stuck”, This true story is about that same ex of mine. I’ll copy and paste some background from that post for context before getting into this true story:
…
I dated this ex for around three years. She's around 5'3 and when we started dating, she was a senior in college and weighed about 200lbs, so she is the biggest person I've ever dated.
She was one of those girls who was very curvy at a heavier weight, big butt, big belly, wide hips, very large breasts, and surprisingly a thin face considering how overweight she eventually was. From pictures she showed me and stories she shared with me, I learned that she put on probably 60-70 pounds in college. By the time I met her, she wasn't too happy about her weight, but felt she still looked good because she got a lot of attention from guys (probably because she was very pretty, liked to party, and her most prominent feature were her big breasts). Maybe that's why she didn't really do anything to lose weight. Anyway, we got along great at first, I found her very attractive and I even really liked the fact that she was a lot bigger than I'd ever dated before. It was a new and exciting relationship for me.
After graduating college, she moved back home with her parents, and we did a long-distance relationship for about a year before moving closer to each other. In that year with her parents, she gained another 60-80lbs, I'm not too sure because she never told me her highest weight. The reason for her gain, I think was that she had picked up a lot of bad habits from college (She drank all the time, usually a drink or two during and after dinner during the weeks and binge drinking on the weekends), she was an only child so her parents spoiled her endlessly (her parents were more like her best friends rather than telling her what to do or ever criticizing her), her job was sedentary and stressful, she loved food and would comfort eat when stressed, she went on a multi week cruise that August put on at least 10 pounds from it, and she loved sitting on the couch watching TV, it was her favorite way to relax. Also, her family and friends regularly drank a ton of alcohol, same with my ex, and when she was wasted, which was pretty much every weekend she ate far beyond what she would normally eat sober.
So yeah, lack of activity, lots of food and alcohol, I saw her every weekend, so her gain, while large, occurred pretty gradually to me. I am ashamed to say I wasn't really aware she was putting on weight until we were getting ready for a date our first winter together and she was having trouble finding something that fit her. I suggested she wear an outfit from college and she bluntly replied, "Are you serious? I'm way too fat for that now."
It was around this time I told her about my preferences. At first she was a bit insulted, asking if the only reason I was dating her was because she was larger. I told her the truth, that I really liked who she was, not just what she looked like, and she seemed happy with that. I remember her asking after that, "So I don't have to diet?"
To which I replied, "Only if you want to."
She then confessed to me that she was worried I'd dump her for gaining weight and was happy she wouldn't have to worry about dieting during the holiday season. So, at first she seemed pretty okay with my preferences, but soon after she made it clear that she felt uncomfortable doing anything related to my preferences in the bedroom, and that she didn't want to gain more weight. Which was fine with me. I was more upset about the fact she didn't even want to talk about my fetish stuff, than the fact she didn't want to bring any of it into the bedroom.
Anyway, fast forward to the next summer, and as I've said, she did put on more weight, a lot more weight. In the year since she graduated, she gained between 60-80lbs, and at 5'3 being 260-280lbs was very large. She filled out a lot, her legs, her arms, her butt, her gut, and her bust, her face even started to develop a slight double chin (Again, her face stayed a lot thinner than anywhere else on her body). She was very unhappy with her big weight gain, in private she was very self-conscious, worried about her friends judging her for letting herself go. Honestly, I think her unhappiness about her weight caused her to comfort eat more when I wasn't around. She wanted to diet, but she wasn't sure she wanted to start over the summer since she tended to party a lot with friends and family and she didn't want to limit herself at these gatherings. (I once counted how much she drank at one of these gatherings, 13 bottles of reds apple ale, didn't even get sick or throw up, that's a lot of calories just from drinking, and this girl could eat when she was drunk).
…
I just re-read this excerpt right now, and it just so happens that this “Chicken Nuggets” true story is from the very same day that I counted my ex drinking 13 bottles of reds apple ale. I drank some reds apple ale this weekend at a barbeque my GF and I were invited to and recalled the events that I’m about to share. This is not really a happy memory for me, but I think there is value in sharing it.
So, let’s set the scene for that day. If my memory is correct, this story takes place a summer after the “ex got stuck” summer. It was the last summer my ex and I shared together before the breakup the following spring. Things were not going super great in our relationship at the time. At the end of my “Ex got stuck” true story, I mentioned that I offered to try and help my ex eat better and get more exercise, and for the following year, I attempted to help her be more consistently active and eat healthier. Throughout the year she’d lose five pounds, then gain ten, try weightwatchers, lose 15, then quit the diet and put the pounds right back on. Her weight was yo-yoing, and for all I knew she weighed even more than she had the previous summer. And she wasn’t happy about it.
This produced some extra friction in our relationship.
Not because I wasn’t supportive or because I was upset that she wanted to lose weight, I was supportive, and I did want her to lose weight because I wanted her to be happier with her body and as I mentioned in my previous story, our chemistry was much better when she was closer to 200 than when she was closer to 300.
The issue was that she wanted me to help hold her accountable (Both with her overeating, and activity), but she didn’t like being held accountable, and she would lose her temper. I’ll provide an example:
THE CABIN
I’m a person who can’t really be happy unless I exercise regularly. My ex was not like that. So I’d usually exercise by myself, and she’d watch her TV shows. We had our own hobbies and interests and that was fine. What was not fine was when I’d try to plan active dates and activities for us to share. One time, on a vacation with her family, we rented a cabin in the mountains, and I suggested we go on a hike, just the two of us, because her family and their friends just wanted to drink and get f*cked up all week. After one night of trying to drink with her parents and friends, I simply couldn’t keep up.
My ex thinks this hike suggestion is a great idea, she wants to be active, figures walking will be good for burning off all the alcohol calories she is consuming with her family (they played drinking games too). TOGETHER, we pick a seven-mile hike trail, it’s a beautiful trail, but I knew it was too long for her, so I tried to suggest easier hikes but she got offended…
My ex- “You don’t think I can do it? Why? Because I’m fat??”
Jesus I can still hear her angry tone when I type what she said. What is this PTSD? Are there any psychologists subscribed to my patreon?
Anyway, she tended to frequently ask loaded lose-lose questions like this when she was upset, it was like she wanted an excuse to direct her negative emotions outward. She’d do it to her parents, her friends, and me.
Trying to avoid upsetting her further, I just told her it was a lot longer than our regular walks and we had drunk heavily the night before. I was dehydrated, so I used that as the reason for trying to change which trail we hiked. My response sort of avoided her getting upset with me, but in reality, it just delayed the inevitable. We do the seven-mile hike, and I carry a heavy backpack full of water and Gatorade for the two of us. It was just the two of us because everyone else wanted to drink all day.
One mile in, we are having fun.
Two miles in, we take a break, have some water, she’s still in good spirits.
Three miles in, her feet start hurting. She’s really getting tired, she’s not the happiest.
Three and a half miles in, she fully regrets doing the seven-mile trail. We were alone in the woods, she starts crying (from the pain in her feet apparently), so we take a break and I try to calm her down.
My ex- “Why’d you let me talk you out of the shorter trail! This isn’t fun!”
Suddenly it was my fault for ‘letting’ her talk me out of doing the easier trails I recommended for us. Jesus Christ. I wish I was making this sh*t up.
I knew from experience that arguing with her would only piss her off and escalate her irritation. So I took the blame, apologized, reminded her we were in no rush and could rest as long as she needed to.
It took some doing, but eventually, I calmed her down, she rests, and after a while we start hiking again. Her feet still hurt (which apparently was my fault) so I hear about it pretty much the whole walk back to my car. What had been a fun hike where we were enjoying each other’s company turned into a miserable experience for both of us. She was in physical pain, so I understand why she wasn’t happy, but it really bothered me that she blamed me for it.
Maybe I did deserve some of the blame, but not all of it. I just wanted to do something active (and share some time with her) before watching her whole crew get shitfaced again. At this cabin, the place was so packed with people that we didn’t even have our own room, we had to share one with her parents. On top of that, when we were at the cabin which was 90% of this vacation (the other 10% was going out to restaurants), she’d hang out pretty much exclusively with the women and I’d have to hang out with all the guys.
I don’t know if this is a cultural thing, but anytime I was with her family and friends the mothers, daughters, female friends, would all be in one place drinking and doing whatever and the men, fathers, husbands, boyfriends, would be off in the basement playing pool, drinking, playing poker, etc. So when we hung out with this group of hers which was quite often, the two of us would rarely hang out with each other until both groups tended to merge in the early AM when everyone was drunk out of their minds and wanted to play drinking games.
I think I am getting side tracked, but I think you get the idea of what I mean when I say this dynamic in our relationship produced friction.
CHICKEN NUGGETS
Let’s get back to the “Chicken Nuggets” story. So, these family friends of hers just bought their first house and are throwing a housewarming party on a weekend in the summer. As far as parties with this group of people are concerned it’s par for the course with a few differences. This was a pot-luck style party, so everyone brought unique food. Various chips, dips, meats, desserts, alcohol, and hardly any veggies…
The stage was set for yet another massive drunken party. I wasn’t drinking. At this point, I just wasn’t having fun anymore, I couldn’t keep up and the guys and girls would give me shit about not drinking as much as everyone else. Keep in mind, I went to college, I know how to drink, but these people often times wouldn’t stop until they got sick and that’s just not how I drink. I will say, when I was dating my ex, she would take my side when people would give me crap, but privately she would pressure me to let loose and get drunk with everyone.
Over the course of my dating my ex, I’d made some actual friends with some other guys who had dated into this group of people. These guys were the ones I usually spent my time with at my ex’s family’s big parties and I do miss some of them.
This housewarming started like any other party I’d go to with my ex. She’d grab a drink, and go hang out with her mom and the other women and start feasting. On this day she was drinking bottles of reds apple ale. They are 165 calories a bottle. At this point in our relationship I’m concerned about how much she is drinking regularly, so I keep count of how much she drinks. This includes asking her how many bottles she’s had at different times of the night after she gets wasted.
She ends up drinking 13 bottles of reds apple ale. I’ll do the math for you. That’s 2145 calories just from what she was drinking. And to be clear, she drinks like this pretty much every weekend. In hindsight, no wonder she was struggling to lose weight. On top of drinking a ton, she also ate a ton, all day. It was a pot-luck buffet and nothing was off limits.
She’d tell me in the car on the way to the party/s not to let her overeat, but if I actually acted and asked her to think about how much she was eating, she would explode with anger.
It was horrible. I couldn’t win. I can’t tell you how many times we had this conversation:
Me- “Babe, you asked me not to let you overeat… Are you comfortable with how much you’re eating?”
My ex- “Gosh, I haven’t had that much, what’s your problem!”
Me- “I just don’t want you getting mad at me later if you get a stomach ache.”
My ex- “I won’t!”
Later…
My ex – “What the f*ck babe! You just let me pig out in front of everyone! I told you not to let me overeat! Why didn’t you stop me!? Do you enjoy watching me binge like that or something??”
And you see, another example of one of her loaded lose-lose questions. I think you can see why our relationship was headed to an end a few months after this story.
How was I supposed to answer a question like that? There is a part of me that does find binge eating, as unhealthy and dangerous as it can be attractive. It’s not my fault. I’ve got a weight gain fetish. Gluttony, losing control, belly-stuffing, beer bloating, these things appeal to me, but my brain never could lose sight of the person I was dating, their desires, and their happiness. It was sad watching my ex do this every god damn weekend. I knew she had fun parting with her family and friends/coworkers, but she hated she wasn’t losing weight, hated she was gaining weight, and took out a lot of her frustrations on me, when in all honesty I felt I wasn’t the one to blame.
Our relationship was not a fantasy WG story, I wasn’t sabotaging her. I wanted her to be happy with herself, and healthy, because that’s what she wanted. When you’re dating someone, I think you have to treat the person you are dating the way they want to be treated. I tried to do that, but it was never enough to make her happy with me in the long term.
When she wasn’t upset, we really did have a great friendship under all of our relationship problems. I was reaching the point where I didn’t know what to do. I wasn’t happy with how she was treating me, and I didn’t feel like there was anything I could do to help her achieve her goals. I took her biking with me, same thing happened as it did in the hiking example I gave above, I started taking her to WALK 5k’s with me, same outcome as the hiking story. I encouraged her to eat healthy, because she asked me to help try and keep her accountable, and she’d get upset with me every time.
I know what you are thinking.
Why the f*ck did I title this true story “Chicken Nuggets!” I have not talked about chicken nuggets outside of referencing the title, this has mostly been a therapy session for me recalling, and complaining about a relationship that turned sour and ended years ago. Welp, the story is not over yet.
Where was I?
Oh yeah, she drank 13 red’s apple ales, stuffed her face with everything she could get her hands on, got mad at me for trying to talk her out of overeating, and then got mad at me because she ended up overeating. So, it’s the end of the night. I don’t know, 1 or 2 AM. I am sober, because I didn’t want to share a room with my ex’s parents or sleep on the floor with the other people who were sleeping over because they were too drunk to drive home. My ex, is so f*cking wasted. She’s so wasted, she actually isn’t angry with me anymore for how much she ate, because she’s too drunk to be any emotion. It was a miracle she didn’t get sick.
I’m guessing all the food she ate must have soaked up some of the alcohol, because that’s the only way any of this makes sense to me.
As I mentioned above, my ex was 5’3 and probably around 280lbs. She’d downed 13 bottles of ale and lord knows how much food. Her belly was positively swollen. It had inflated to the point she had to unbutton her shorts and it stuck out from her shirt.
With my help, she waddled to my car. I sat her down in the passenger seat, and had to buckle her myself, because she couldn’t, she was too drunk. She turned on my radio and started singing loudly to a Taylor Swift song that came on the radio. I start driving her back to her parent’s house where we’ll stay the night because her parents are still at this party drinking and they brought their sleeping bags. It’s about an hour and a half drive, and my ex thankfully falls asleep shortly after I start driving, so I have some peace and quiet.
45 minutes into this drive, she wakes up, as we are passing a McDonalds, and like a ghost possessed I hear her moan:
“Chicken Nuggets…”
Me- “Huh?”
My ex – “I want chicken nuggets.”
Me- “No you don’t.”
My ex – “I NEED chicken nuggets!”
Me – “No, babe, you don’t.”
My ex – “I do!”
Me – “You’re trying to be healthier remember? You asked me to help you make healthy choices. Chicken nuggets at 2AM is not a healthy choice.”
My ex- “You’re being a shitty boyfriend.”
Me- “I’m not. I’m doing what you asked me to do.”
My ex – “I’m asking for chicken nuggets!”
Me – “Babe, you’re drunk. You had plenty to eat at the party. You don’t want chicken nuggets.”
My ex – “Chicken nuggets…”
Me – “No.”
My ex- “Chicken nuggets!”
Me – “Stop babe.”
My ex – “Chicken Nuggets! CHICKEN Nuggets! Chicken NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS!”
Me – “Please stop that, you’re annoying me, I’m trying to focus on the road. I’m really tired.”
My Ex- “CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS!”
Me- “Fine!! I’ll turn around! Just stop chanting my ears can’t take it anymore.”
My Ex –“Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!”
*Claps hands*
My ex- “CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS!”
*She continues chanting as I pull up to the drive through and order*
McDonalds employee- “Hey welcome to McDonalds, can I take your order?”
My ex- “CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS! CHICKEN NUGGETS!”
Me – “Can you hear that?”
McDonalds employee – “So, sounds like… I’ll put you down for a 10-piece?”
Me- “Babe?”
*Nods her head while chanting*
Me – “Yes sir.”
*I pull around to the drive thru window*
*Pay for the nuggets*
*Receive the nuggets*
*Hand them to my ex*
*Drive away*
*My ex starts eating*
My ex – “I love you so much!”
Me – “I love you too… You didn’t have to call me a shitty boyfriend.”
My ex – “You’re not. You’re the best!”
Me – “Please don’t be mad at me tomorrow for getting you chicken nuggets.”
My ex – “I won’t.”
Me – “Promise?”
My ex – “I promise.”
*She eats all the chicken nuggets and then falls back asleep*
I don’t think I’ve ever seen her belly looking more swollen than it did that night.
The next day, after she sobered up, she asked me if we stopped for chicken nuggets the night before, or if it was a dream. I told her what happened.
She was pissed at me for buying her chicken nuggets. Accused me of sabotaging her diet and enjoying seeing her binge-eat like that. In truth, as a weight gain fetishist, I did not enjoy what I saw that night. I couldn’t, because I knew her, and I knew it wasn’t what she wanted. Do I regret buying her the chicken nuggets, yes. I just wanted her to stop annoying me. If I wrote the events of this true story into a fictional story like Mia’s Junior Year, or The Fence, would I like reading it, probably. But that’s the difference between fantasy and reality.
My ex mattered to me, what she wanted for herself trumped any fetishistic desires that dwell within me. But I realize in hindsight that I was dating two different people with her. She was a different person when she was sober, compared to when she was wasn’t.
Ultimately, our relationship didn't work out, I don't keep in touch with her anymore, and I think my life is much better for it. I hope she is doing well and found the happiness she was looking for. But as far as I’m concerned I don’t regret breaking up with her. I've found something much much much much much better so moving on has been pretty smooth for me all things considered.
Still though, when I drink a red’s apple ale or pass a McDonalds late at night, sometimes I think of her. I remember the way she treated me, and I’m so happy I’ve finally found someone who treats me the way I want to be treated.
Anyway, that's all for this little true story, I hope it wasn’t too much of a bummer, it’s sad when relationships slowly fall apart, but in my case, it was all for the best.
