Author's Note:  Here we go, this week's update.  It's a long one, just a little under 6,000 words (So no 'Double Date' this week, I'm out of time tonight anyway to do any more writing).  I've had this scene planned from the moment I started doing this revision of "Practical Joke," I hope you enjoy!  Feedback as always is much appreciated.

Thanks for all the support!

The Queen of Cabin Nine

Warning: This is a retelling/reimaging of a classic unfinished WG tale originally authored by the great Greinskyn and titled, “Practical Joke.” This retold version is an adult/fetish story involving weight gain, stuffing, and revenge.  If this isn’t your type of thing, please don't read it.

Part 42; Sunday Afternoon, Camp Manitowash; Day 100

‘Why do cabin counselors have the honor of being the last leg of the obstacle course relay?’ Amber thought to herself, feeling severely out of place lining up with her fellow female counselors for the race. Her colleagues were all excellent examples of fitness and health, except her. Amber was feeling extra large today. Not only had she awoken this morning truly exceptionally sluggish and bloated, Pack Leader had ‘advised’ the female counseling staff to do their hair in pigtails for the obstacle course relay to ensure they didn’t have a repeat of last year, where two female counselor’s had gotten their hair entangled in the cord crawl section of the obstacle course. With her beautiful hair in pigtails, Amber felt she had nothing to conceal just how puffy her face had gotten this summer.

To make matters even worse, everybody was watching, as representatives from every female cabin, three campers and one counselor, lined up for legs of the obstacle course in preparation for the customary relay race, to cap off the competition portion of the 23rd annual end-of-summer Camp Manitowash cabin Olympics.

The old and creaky wooden stands, that spanned the length of the aging grid-based obstacle course, were lined with campers who were not competing, and parents and families of the campers eager to see if their money had been well spent this summer. Opposite to the stands, the campers and counselors competing in the men’s race lined the other side of the obstacle course, waiting for their turn and to cheer on the girls in a show of good old Camp Manitowash spirit.

In the face of all these unwanted eyes, Amber picked at her wedgie trying to alleviate the discomfort she was feeling, but her undies, and shorts, were just too small for her now. No matter how many times she tried to move them to a more comfortable position, they just sank back into the gap between her fleshy butt cheeks, which stuck out behind her like two bulging round orbs, straining the pair of pink running shorts clinging to every inch of her bountiful ass for dear life.

Her efforts caused the taut material of her undersized grey tank top to roll upward ever-so-slightly offering anyone who may have been observing the Queen of cabin nine a tantalizing glimpse of her embarrassingly plush-looking gut. Squirming to nervously tug the hem of her shirt back down low enough to conceal the considerable girth she’d accumulated this summer around her midsection, Amber couldn’t help imagining what was to come. She pictured everyone in the stands negatively judging the large size her bulging ass cheeks had swollen to, and the way her thicker thighs jiggled anytime she moved. She imagined what they might say to each other, how they might laugh at the way such a formerly slim counselor had let herself go so noticeably.

It was undeniable that she’d gotten chubby and plump. Nervously stretching her arms above her head, Amber blushed as she felt her tank-top roll upward even further than it had a moment ago, enough to expose her once priced navel ring. Its glimmer used to grace the eyes of everyone in the camp, yet now she did her best to conceal its attention-grabbing nature at all costs. She didn’t want people’s eyes lingering on how far she’d fallen. She just wanted this long day to end so she could wash her hands of Camp Manitowash for the next few months.

Earlier in the morning, her Aunt Sandy, Pack Leader, had conducted the little customary ceremony to kick off the camp Olympics. Cabins were assigned countries, cabin nine was assigned France this year, and so the cabin was decorated to match their French theme before the various morning festivities and competitions got underway.

Counselors were assigned to run stations, Amber and Sally managed the pentathlon station which consisted of five events, a standing long jump, a javelin throw with a foam javelin, a discus throw with a frisbee to see who could throw it the farthest, a short foot race, and an arm-wrestling tournament. Stacey was assigned to the soccer station. There were other sport stations, like volleyball and softball, archery, and swimming. There was even a game station featuring chess, checkers, connect four, and various jigsaw puzzles.

The goal was to make the day as fun and as exhausting as possible for the campers, so they didn’t have the energy to complain about the place to the parents once they took them home. After the morning station competitions, there had been a counselor hunt, where cabin counselors got to hide across the camp and their campers had to search for them. Lunch followed the counselor hunt, and after another hour of station competitions, cabins competed in a rope pulling challenge. When that was all said and done, the final competition of the day was the obstacle course relay.

The way the scoring system worked, usually the winner of the obstacle course won the cabin Olympics, but this year only Stacey, Sally, and Amber’s cabin had enough points for the relay to make a difference in deciding who won. Not that winning was all that meaningful for anything other than bragging rights, all financial incentives for the counselors were to win the cabin rankings for weight lost. Still though, the camp Olympics mattered to the campers, so it was only natural that every year, during the obstacle course relay, things got a little intense.

The campers of cabin nine had voted Juanita to lead off the relay, Alison to go second, and Betty to go third before Amber finished out the final leg for the team. In total, the obstacle course had twelve main obstacles, so the relay format ensured that each leg would have to tackle three of them before moving on. Amber wasn’t optimistic about cabin nine’s chances of winning, but she was hoping they’d finish in the middle of the pack. Finishing her leg among the crowd would ensure that she wouldn’t stand out as much. She could fade in to the background, finish the race with as little fanfare as possible, coast through the final weigh-ins of the summer since she didn’t have to get weighed, shake hands with family, wave goodbye to campers, and then get the heck out of camp before suffering further embarrassment.

“You must be excited,” Stacey’s voice squeaked into Amber’s ear, disrupting her train of thought, “You’re to finally going to get some exercise!  Haha!”

“Hmph,” Amber replied flaring her nostrils and giving Stacey a mean look.

‘Why beat around the bush trying to sound friendly? If you’re going to be a b*tch, don’t be sneaky about it!’ Amber’s stormed internally to herself.

“What did I say?” Stacey questioned feigning ignorance.

“You know what you’re doing. Leave me alone, if you know what’s good for you.” Amber threatened, finishing her sentence by biting her lip and anxiously rubbing her plump midriff.

“What are you going to do? Sit on me?  Haha,” Stacey laughed, only to be cut off by the sound of a loud blank being fired off to start the relay.

Just like that, the rival’s verbal sparing paused, as the two of them turned their attention to the lead leg of the race taking off, Amber studied the course that lay before Juanita. The obstacle course started with a 20-yard sprint to a series of balance beams over the first of many muddy patches of the course. The fastest camper in the initial sprint gained the advantage of choosing the most direct balance beam across the mud patch, and to Amber’s amazement that camper was Juanita!

She could hear Juanita’s family in the stands cheering to high heaven, and her fellow campers of cabin nine losing their minds. While a few campers took slower paths, followed behind Juanita and lost their balance, falling into the mud, Juanita made it through without any problems and then sprinted toward the next obstacle.

“Not bad Juanita.” Amber muttered to herself unable to conceal the fact she was impressed.

“It’s a shame the whole course isn’t a sprint.” Stacey added sarcastically, but Amber chose to ignore her and just keep watching her short camper go.

After a 15-yard sprint to a series of three-foot hurdles, Juanita’s short stature ensured her speed and progress would be slowed considerably by each hurdle. The lead she had built on the balance beams was disappearing before Amber’s very eyes. Gasping for breath by the time she cleared the last hurdle, Juanita had fallen into second place, with the third and fourth place teams hot on her heels as she sprinted toward the final obstacle of her leg of the race, the dreaded slip wall.

It wasn’t really a wall, more like a tall and steep foam padded ramp that had been covered in slippery mud from head to toe. A series of long ropes offered the only hope to campers wanting to successfully struggle their way to the top and slide down to the other side. With her legs clearly spent from the previous obstacles, Juanita appeared to be using her arms to really try and pull herself up.

She was hanging onto second place for dear life when the camper in first place lost their grip and their footing and slid down the slip wall, bumping into Juanita and other campers on the way down.

Clinging onto the rope for dear life, Juanita didn’t lose her grip, she recovered and kept pulling and pulling until she reached the top and slid down the other side in first place!

Jogging slowly, covered in mud, Juanita was clearly exhausted, but when she finally reached Alison, and gave her a messy high five to let her start her leg of the race, she had succeeded in giving Alison a significant lead over the competition, probably somewhere between five and 10 seconds. The cheers for Juanita were crazy.

Alison’s initial sprint was more measured than Juanita’s had been at the start of the race, the Italian-American was clearly trying to conserve energy and it was a good strategy considering the second two obstacles she would have to face in her leg of the race. The first one was the easiest.  Commonly referred to by campers as the rope bridge, it hung only about two feet above the mud, and was probably only 20 or 30 feet across. Nimble campers could probably walk across it if they were careful, but most opted to crawl. It was slower, but it reduced the likelihood of falling into the mud beneath the bridge. And crawl is exactly what Alison did.

“Slow and steady wins the race.” Amber muttered to herself internally wishing Alison would pick up the pace. Despite how she felt before the relay started, Amber’s competitive nature was increasingly making her feel more invested in her team’s performance. She’d never lost one of these relay’s before, and her pride didn’t want her to start now.

“Spoken like a true tortoise.” Stacey chuckled eying the way Amber’s tummy pooched outward when her attention was elsewhere, and she wasn’t consciously trying to suck in her gut.

“You’re on my last nerve Stacey. Put a sock in it.” Amber snapped, while shooting Stacey and aggressive look that seemed to convey her message pretty well this time. Stacey didn’t even offer a single word in response, her eyes remained on Amber’s rounded gut, something Amber noticed, causing her to instinctively suck in as best she could before she turned her attention back to the race.

Alison hadn’t finished crossing the rope bridge yet, she was really taking her sweet time about it. The worried cheers from cabin nine and their families seemed to convey an urgency that Alison wasn’t reciprocating. It was in that moment, that Amber noticed she didn’t hear Alison’s parents cheering, studying the stands, she didn’t see them anywhere.  It was possible that her family hadn’t arrived yet, maybe that explained Alison’s half-hearted effort so far.

Amber watched with dismay, as an especially brave camper from Stacey’s cabin took the risk and crawled past Alison on the shaky rope bridge. By the time Alison reached the end of the obstacle, two more teams had pretty much caught up to her. Juanita’s significant lead was gone. Alison raced to catch up to Stacey’s team, but she gained no ground as she reached the sandbag carry.

Upper body strength was in short supply among the campers, and the sandbag carry involved picking up a hefty sandbag and running with it across a long sig-zagging path all the way to the next obstacle. Alison grabbed one and hurried off after the team in first. She clearly wasn’t holding back anymore, but Alison just wasn’t fast enough. Not only did she fail to catch up to Stacey’s teammate, but she also got passed by another team as well.

Forced to stop and give her aching arms a break, Alison got passed by yet another team, Sally’s, before she summoned the strength to finish the sandbag carry, toss the sandbag into the completion area and walk toward the nearby rope wall. Most campers joked that the rope wall might as well have been a brick wall, because nobody ever had the stamina to climb it directly after finishing the sandbag carry. The relay race was no different. Even though she’d fallen behind, not a single camper had made it over the obstacle by the time Alison got there.

It was her chance to catch up, a chance to show why she’d been saving her energy earlier, but once Alison climbed her first step upward, she seemed to just pause there and catch her breath for a few moments. Amber could hear Jessie’s voice in the distance trying to motivate Alison to keep moving. Eventually, she kept moving, but the damage had been done. By the time Alison got to the other side of the rope wall, and sluggishly high-fived Betty to let her begin the third leg of the relay, cabin nine had fallen into fifth place, with six and seventh place not far behind.

“Sh*t…” Amber muttered under her breath, feeling mixed about her team’s performance.

“Alison really did sh*t the bed.” Stacey snickered, “This isn’t going to be close at all.”

“Didn’t anybody ever tell you not to count your chickens before they hatch. The race isn’t over yet.” Amber argued, before muttering under her breath, “Come on Betty…”

Because the course turned sharply at the third leg, Amber didn’t have a decent view of Betty while she raced to her first obstacle, but it was one every camper hated. On the surface, the rope swing looked fun, because it dangled over a muddy and slippery trench, but the issue was that jumping far enough to grab the rope, hold on, and swing to the other side was near impossible for the campers, everyone always just fell into the trench and had to exhaust themselves scrambling to get out of it.

The crowd blocked Amber’s view of Betty, but she assumed she’d be heavily delayed by the obstacle like the rest of the campers. With any luck maybe some of the other teams in front of them would struggle worse than Betty, it was probably the best chance their team had of making up the gap produced by Alison’s lackluster effort.

After the rope swing was the gauntlet, a rough patch of mud and dirt with hanging heavy bags that campers had to physically push and force their way through on uncertain muddy footing. There were two approaches to the gauntlet, bulldoze your way through, an exhausting process, or take a nimbler route squeezing between the gaps and avoiding having to move all of the obstacles by force. Since campers were not that thin, the bulldoze method was the only one counselor ever really saw from them. After the muddy trench of the rope swing, and the tough slog of the gauntlet, Amber doubted Betty would have any strength left for the final obstacle of the third leg, the monkey bars.

It was rare, extremely rare, campers had the upper body strength to complete the full length of the monkey bars, 20 bars in total, so a rule was put in place that they could move on from it once they had to successfully swung across 20 bars non-sequentially. This allowed campers to count multiple attempts toward the total and prevented the obstacle from being completely impossible since campers were always exhausted and muddy by the time they reached it.

Keeping her eyes on the turn toward her final leg just after the obscured monkey bar area, the crowd of parents and family were cheering louder and louder. The campers on the sidelines were rapidly approaching, following the action of the race. It could only mean one thing. The team in first had cleared the monkey bars.

‘That was… fast.’ Amber couldn’t help thinking to herself, while she expected to see Stacey’s team, or another team that had been up front, rounding the corner.

Instead, her eyes were treated to a different sight.

A surprising sight.

Betty.

‘Betty?? Did she cheat or something?’ Amber couldn’t help, judgmentally thinking, ‘Did the other teams get hurt?’

Her heart immediately started beating at about a billion beats per minute. Cabin nine was back in it! They were in first! They could win!

And…

All eyes would soon be on her.

Suddenly Amber found it difficult to breathe. Her thoughts were racing. She was torn between her competitive instincts and her instincts for self-preservation. Being in first was a lot of pressure. If they lost, it would be all on her… Her failure would be on display for everyone to see.

Everyone.

Anxiously hugging her gut, Amber studied Betty’s body, as she really labored to sprint over to her. She was covered in mud only about up to her knees, her upper body and arms were completely clean. That could mean only one thing, she must have cleared the rope swing first try, and avoided bulldozing or slipping during the gauntlet. She must have run a nearly flawless third leg of the relay.

Amber should have been filled with pride, but the only emotion she could feel was worry. No other teams had rounded the corner behind Betty as of yet, how big of a lead was she going to get over the competition? Amber wasn’t confident in her physical abilities anymore at all. Compared to the other counselors, she was obviously the weakest link, the slowest of the bunch, the only fat counselor.

‘It’s all on me now...’ Amber anxiously thought to herself, her chubby body feeling uncharacteristically tense. It was clear now that Betty was giving her a pretty big lead.  If she lost now… Nothing would be more humiliating.

“Whatever happens, I’m gonna catch up to you Amber. You’re too fat to outrun me.” Stacey vowed, before Betty closed in.

“I’m not that fat!” Amber growled in reply, as she held up her hand for Betty to slap and a few moments later, wheezing and gasping for air, that’s exactly what Betty did.

In response, Amber muttered a quick, “Good job!”

Then she took off.

She forced her body into a sprint toward the first of her obstacles on the final leg of this relay. After 20 yards, Amber was already looking flush and was puffing for air.  She couldn’t help, but wheeze briefly, once she arrived at the cord crawl. She sounded like Betty did moment’s ago, but Amber didn’t let that thought slow her down. Instead, she plopped onto her belly and started to crawl, her pink shorts straining against the bulk of her big butt with every clumsy motion.

Once upon a time in the dark ages, this obstacle had probably been a barbed wire crawl, but now instead of barbed wire overhead only a series of bungee cords did. It was against the rules to touch them, so this challenge required a roughly 30-yard crawl through the freshly wetted mud. Amber had been an expert at the obstacle course back before she’d developed her weight problem. Once upon a time, her crawl was a speedy process, unmatched by anyone else, but not anymore.

With her potbelly dragging against the mud, providing more resistance than she’d ever experienced before, Amber’s maneuverability in the tight space was severely diminished. Her tank top was a muddy mess. Her breasts had also grown large enough that even in her sports bra they continually were getting submerged in the mud, causing cool mud to pool in front of her impeding her progress. She forced her way through it, but as a result mud started rapidly filling her bra, it was a strange sensation she’d never experienced before.

The temperature wasn’t the problem, the problem was she just was not making great time at all. When she was nearing the end of her slog, Amber risked wasting a second or two to catch her breath and peer behind her. Her eyes widened with worry, as she saw Stacey entering the cord crawl and start speeding toward her like a hungry crocodile wanting to gobble her up.

Finishing her crawl, Amber scrambled to her feet, shook off some mud, and heaved her heavy legs into the fastest sprint she could muster. Her thighs chafed with every step. The sound of screaming filled the air. Amber was so focused on beating Stacey, her inner monologue continued repeating the same four defiant words:

‘I’m not that fat. I’m not that fat! I’m not that fat!!’

So focused was her trance that Amber completely failed to notice that her belly, completely covered in mud, was out and about flopping and jiggling with every uncertain step she took. Her wet tank top had risen up well past her soft and sunken belly button.

Her attention turned to the next obstacle in front of her. It was the hardest one of the last leg of the obstacle course. Its reputation preceded it. It’s nickname…

Mount Everest.

It was a muddy artificial hill, like the slip wall in the first leg but a twice as tall and only slightly less steep, instead of thick ropes to help you pull yourself up, it was covered horizontally in a grid of smaller ropes submerged in mug, difficult to see and unreliable to hold onto.

Already feeling low on energy, Amber turned again to look behind her, Stacey was exiting the cord crawl, Amber knew she didn’t have any time to waste. Attacking the obstacle head on, Amber hurried up the dead center of Mount Everest, slipping and sliding with nearly every step she took. Eventually she couldn’t advance anymore with just her legs, it was too steep and slippery, so she got on her hands and knees and felt around desperately for some rope to hold on to.

In her stalled position, worried cheers from her cabin rang out in support. Not wanting to repeat Alison’s mistakes, Amber scrambled upward with all her strength. The higher she got, the slower her progress, but she didn’t stop and give up, not even once. Her lungs were burning, her muscles were aching, the weight of her larger body was beginning to take more and more of a toll on her progress, but still she pushed forward.

As she neared the summit, cheers of support rang out from her cabin more clearly:

“Amber! Amber! Amber!”

Invigorating the overweight camp counselor to keep pushing, until Amber was able to reach the rope at the top ledge. She was almost done, but she’d spent all the strength in her arms getting there. Try as she might, she couldn’t pull herself up. Every effort to rise up just splashed mug around. Her lack of fitness was showing. For all to see. Embarrassment and shame began to weigh Amber down just as much as the excess amount of pounds she’d accumulated across her body.

Then, cheers from her onlookers, and the crowd grew more intense, this time it wasn’t all coming from cabin nine. Amber didn’t have to look behind her to know who was catching up. She heard the b*tches voice clear as day. It was the worst-case scenario.

“Told you I’d catch you fatass!” Stacey laughed vindictively, as she grabbed hold of Amber’s ankle and started to use her grip to pull herself upward.

“Ugh!” Amber grunted, as a burst of adrenaline gave her the second wind she needed, in an instant, Amber snapped her heavy legs upward as fast as she could, getting onto her knees. Thanks to being covered in slippery mud, Stacey lost her grip and her balance as a result. Then out of a pent-up rage, Amber let go of her grip on the rope on the top ledge, pretending like it was an accident, and slid, big butt first, right into Stacey’s face knocking her onto her back and causing her rival to slide all the way back down Mount Everest.

“Oof!” Amber burst, a moment later once she caught herself on the next horizontal rope and used it to steady herself before climbing back up to the top.

Her maneuver had bought her some valuable time. She couldn’t waste it. Heaving herself across the summit and sliding back down the other side on her belly, the cheers for Amber’s desperate gambit were immense. All that remained was a 15-yard sprint to the tire bridge, the tire bridge itself, and then a 20-yard sprint to the finish line.

Amber had regained her lead, but she couldn’t afford to waste any time. Stumbling to her feet, Amber’s legs felt like jello, and they jiggled like it too. She had to lean her weight forward to force herself to run forward. Her sprint was slow and uncoordinated, but progress was progress.

The tire bridge she was slowly approaching had a sparse internal structure of thick wooden beams completely covered in a grid of tires that ranged in size from small to huge. There was a ramp in the front and the back that were also covered in various tires. Tripping and falling on the rubber materials did little to dissuade anyone from just trying to sprint carefully over them and move on to the finish line, although the risk did exist of falling off the bridge into the muddy mess below it or falling through one of the larger tires and suffering the same fate.

Amber knew time was not on her side, she’d need to risk a sprint over the tire bridge if she wanted to guarantee victory for her cabin. Just as Amber neared the tire bridge’s ramp, she tried to shorten her stride and pick up her pace, but the moment she did, Amber lost her balance and slipped. Falling straight forward with a lot of force.

The gasps from the onlooking crowd of campers, parents, and counselors, were audible.

Instinctively Amber’s chubby arms covered her face-first fall into the ramp to protect herself, but she didn’t hit a tire, she fell directly through the hole of one of them. In an instant her arms, face, shoulders, and breasts fell straight through the gap. Then her forward momentum caused her exposed pudgy torso to squeeze through the hole, abruptly slowing her descent and plugging it thanks to its girth being greater than the diameter of the gap. But what truly stopped Amber from plopping face-first into the mud beneath the tire bridge’s front ramp, wasn’t her spare tire, it was her wide hips and expansive girthy butt squashing against the outer edges of the tire.  Her lower body had grown way too large to fit through the gap. So, there Amber lay, her upper body hanging under the bridge and her lower body wedged firmly in place by her thick gut on the one side and her fat butt on the other.

The ground she could reach with her hands wasn’t solid, it was all squishy mud, all Amber could do in the moment was kick her thick legs and try in vain to free herself, but her body simply refused to budge no matter how hard she tried.  With a grunt of disbelief Amber realized in horror, as her blood started rushing to her head, that she was stuck.

She squirmed desperately, not wanting to believe what had just happened, blurting under her labored breath, “Oh no, please come on!! Come on!!”

Panicking, Amber tried twisting hopelessly to free herself, but her plump body didn’t want to budge a single inch. Jiggling violently in a last-ditch effort, the only thing Amber succeeded in doing was causing her tits, gut, butt, and thighs to wobble and shake. She was well and truly stuck. There was nothing she could do.

The crowd of onlookers let out a mix of responses conveying shock, surprise, worry, and, to Amber’s humiliation, a growing abundance of laughter.

With exhaustion taking over, blood rushing to her head, and her embarrassment growing, Amber didn’t know it, but things were about to get even worse.

“Oh-my-gosh! Amber?? Haha, are you stuck?? You’re stuck! Haha, how did that happen!? Try to take a short cut and fail because your butt’s too fat?” Stacey laughed sparing a moment to stop and gloat since nobody else had gotten over Mount Everest just yet.

“I slipped and fell!” Amber shot back, her anger giving her a second wind as before, “Quit laughing and help me!”

“Fat chance.” Stacey teased, as her eyes zeroed in, with a sense of vindication, on the way Amber’s bulky butt was pooching out the bottom of her straining shorts. Not only did Amber have a wedgie of the ages on display for everyone to see, but it appeared like the girth of her ass was straining her shorts to the point they might just burst off her at the seams. To Stacey, what she was witnessing was karma manifesting itself into reality, Amber’s aura of superiority had shattered a long time ago, but this was the nail in the coffin. For all those times Amber had made her suffer in silence and jealousy, this was the sweetest revenge Stacey could have ever imagined and she was going to savor it. Stepping purposefully upon Amber’s sizable squishy butt on her way onto the tire bridge, Stacey smiled at the furious way Amber grunted in response. Then she just kept walking.

Swallowing her rage and pride out of desperation, Amber muttered once again, “Stacey! Please just get me out of this!”

Turning around, standing atop a tire midway across the bridge, Stacey let Amber have it, she knew the words that would wound Amber the most, and she didn’t hold back, “And spoil the show? I don’t think so. After all, Aaron’s watching. You’ve wanted his attention all summer. Now you’ve got it.”

Amber scrunched up her fuller face at the thought of Aaron witnessing her pathetic situation. She wanted to cry, but her exhaustion had her feeling numb all over.

Laughing at Amber’s expense, Stacey turned to continue, and proceeded to stumble and fall directly through the hole of a large tire, directly into the pool of mud beneath the bridge. The splash was just about the most satisfying thing Amber had seen all summer.

The onlooking crowd burst alive with fresh noise; no doubt a mix of responses related to Stacey’s misstep.

Seeing an opportunity, Amber didn’t gloat, instead she summoned what strength she had left, and tried to shake her ass back out from the tire, but as before she didn’t have any leverage, or anything solid to push her arms off of.

Grunting with frustration, Amber closed her eyes and gave her efforts everything she had with a mighty battle cry, “Rrrrraahhhhh!!”

The only thing this wasted effort accomplished was a headache and a loud…

*Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiippppppppppppp!*

Amber could feel it the second it happened, her girthy backside had blown through enough shorts recently that the sudden freeing feeling was actually becoming familiar. Yet this time it hadn’t happened in the confines of her room, or while she was cannonballing into the lake, this happened when every soul in the camp was probably starring squarely at her fat ass stuck in a tire.

Amber’s cheeks were burning so brightly she thought her head might just explode. Not only was she stuck, but the shamefully large bubble butt she’d grown this summer was on full display for everyone, even Aaron, to see. She was so embarrassed she couldn’t even think straight.

Her inner mantra she’d been chanting to herself slowly changed from, ‘You’re not that fat. You’re not that fat. You’re not that fat.’

To…

‘You are that fat… You are that fat…’

The negative thoughts continued to spiral, so much so that Amber sobbed loudly to anyone that could hear her, “SOMEBODY GET ME OUT OF HERE!!! PLE-HE-HE-ASE!”

A second later, someone grabbed her legs, and began pulling. Whoever it was, was strong, really strong, because the moment she started sucking her gut in, this person began dragging her out the way she’d fallen in. Her mud-soaked tank top was squeezed off of her along the way, but Amber was just thankful to be free of the tire. Rolling around on the ground to view her savior, Amber gasped once she realized it was, “Aaron?!”

“Are you okay?” Her ex-boyfriend inquired, extending his hand to help Amber up.

“Umm…” Was all Amber could manage to reply, her embarrassment paralyzing her.

“Amber! Move your FAT ass!” Came a familiar voice from cabin nine among the onlooking crowd of campers nearby, Jessie.

Unable to think for herself, and terrified of speaking a single word to Aaron after he’d just seen her humiliate herself like that, Amber just listened to her camper’s voice, scrambled to her feet, and took off across the tire bridge.

Her feet were unsteady, her mud-covered muffin top was fully on display, jiggling with every motion, but Amber kept moving, determining that running from her problems was better than experiencing a slow and painful death from embarrassment and humiliation. Step after step, Amber made it across the tire bridge, and the explosive yells from the onlooking crowd grew more intense with every step.

Stacey was hot on her tail; Amber could feel it. She could just feel it.

With tears of emotional and physical exhaustion falling down her face, Amber sprinted the last 20-yards to the finish line feeling extremely lightheaded, devoid of almost any oxygen, and…

Collapsed,

The instant before she would have crossed the finish line…

Incredible. I can picture the whispers about Amber looking like a pig covered in mud. Can’t wait for the final weigh in! Amber seems confident she’ll be excused from it. But I’m not so sure.

Great chapter that highlighte her lack of fitness
