Didn't get a chance to talk about these recordings in the video, but these are some incredible soundscapes I got overnight on an island last month. What you're hearing is a field of insects and frogs with high pitched and ultrasonic noises slowed down significantly. Listen with headphones! 🤯There are 3 total recordings like this + plus some ultrasonic (ocean) waves in the zip file with the ultrasonic birds in the next paid tier post.

The Usual Distractions

I'm really looking forward to the next album of ambient psychedelic slomo animal gibberish

Sounds like my gut microbiome after eating onion rings. I bet the 1x field recordings would do wonders for my tinnitus!

Diego Scarabelli

I found the regularity of the sounds astonishing.

Proof that this is basically just nature flat-out composing alien sci-fi soundtracks.

To what actual degree is this slowed, btw? I’m super interested in what this would sound like at standard speed, as well. I have a sense, but it’s hard to know for sure.

It's funny, how nature can sound like a modular jam. Og maybe, modular jams really just sound like nature?

Headphone Community

Let’s add some delay, deep drones, and maybe an occasional pad or two. The frogs can run arpeggios.

This is the kind of natural wonder that pairs pretty well with granular synths like the GR-1 or the GR Mega.

no

music concrete wishessss

Nathan Kadidlo

In case he answers I'm placing my bet right now that it's slowed by a factor of 4

Brian Maneely

Accidentally used this as a "chill beats to study/relax to" while replying to some work emails. Strangely soothing..

Oddly this helped me focus..
