Greyeagle

Thanks for sharing Michael. Lookin forward to seeing more 😀

Tom Weaver

Michael I would love to see you go back to the Jumping Carp area you filmed last year. I don't know if that area is flooded also but it was a hell of a lot of fun to watch. Love your channel.

Steven M,P

Hey Hey Michael, keep it light ... youre doing good ... thanks for thinking of us and keeping us in the loop ... I think your attention getter for new viewers is your show ... anyways ... wish i could help you lighten the load ... all i know is you do good .... whatever you decide ... thanks Daniel and Raven for helping lighten the load ... Love this Show ! the Points too !

hooklinechill

Thats a possibility. But those carp are unpredictable.

Robert Poole

Tom Weaver

I hear you. Just a thought. It was one of my favorite videos.

Randy Gilbert

Thanks for the update. Now i know. :). Will be here, waiting for that great content you provide.

Chad Driskell

Thanks for keeping us up to date Captain. Great job this year dealing with all the weather and flooding. I appreciate the effort!!

John Rothriock

Re: Episode 9 outtakes. Ask Joanna to come back and film some fake outtakes. This would be your opportunity to get creative.

David Muise

Steakfrie

Thanks for the update, Michael. Terabyte storage components available for $50 or less could resolve your need to delete anything. A really nice addition this year was Maryjane's personally recorded thank you vid. I can't speak for others, but I'd welcome more from other point girls. A captains corner camp, catch and eat sounds like a great idea (maybe with a 'special guest'?). Flood waters must be a pain but they've really paid off in numbers, sizes and prizes. Maybe a rule change in numbers caught for the prize bag vs only jug catches? Congrats on your son's graduation! Take care of yourself, Michael and all HLC staff. We appreciate all your hard work.

E TX Rick

Thanks Cap'n, yes we care or we wouldn't be here. I totally agree with what Steven M,P wrote (I usually do). I film & edit for our R/C (airplanes) Club and my favorite editor software is Davinci Resolve (the FREE version does plenty) and it handles multiple cameras like a dream! You're welcome to message me if you want to know more or want to see my videos (on our own website, not YouTube or anywhere else).

Jerry Lienert

Thanks for everything you and the crew do for us on utube and patreon. Keep up the fantastic work but be sure to take of yourself.

M53

Michael......Considering just the fact of monsoon rains and flooding you're doing one hell of a job. Thank you for all you and your folks do!

hooklinechill

Not all drives are equal and to edit off one requires higher quality. I have about 5000 dollars worth of drives. And they are full.

hooklinechill

I have tried it and didn't like it. Im premiere pro all the way.

archie williamson

Michael thank you for the update take some advice from your logo and chill we are not going anywhere !!!

Raven

Michael is not very good at chilling! But that's what makes this channel so great!! Team HLC

Raven

He definitely has been doing a great job! Team HLC

Raven

He just really cares about this channel and all of you guys! That's his passion showing and sometimes keeping him too busy! Team HLC

hooklinechill

I got a ton of sandisk.. both SSD and HDD. but eventually I went to the Samsung T6 and T7, and Crucial X10. But its just too much to try and save everything and they still freeze up with Log video. I started overwriting last year. I figured I'd need to use the raw video alot more than I actually have. It's actually kind of silly how much footage I have since 2018. Waste of money.

Raven

We always appreciate your guys' patience and continued support! You guys are the reason we do this! Team HLC

Raven

It did make for some gorgeous shots! Team HLC

hooklinechill

haha. 2018 - 2023 is well preserved. But the last 2 years I just keep what I need and reuse the space. Most of the time that is.

Steakfrie

Haven't made a purchase yet, but considering the same listed by Michael to reduce the number of (and age of) backups I have.

E TX Rick

Understood! We don't have an income stream from Socials, so I'll stick with FREE. There was def a learning curve with Davinci, but it's become my favorite editor now. Thanks for the reply, Cap'n, keep on doin' what you're doin', my friend!!

hooklinechill

For footage being used for editing I think the crucial is best.

ChuckH

all good Capt.....not going anywhere.....we'll be waiting.....warm weather is coming soon.....

hooklinechill

I have heard great things and I'm sure if that's where I started it be great. But I have all my stuff and settings already built on premiere pro. And the number one problem is the audio sync for different cameras was not good or near as good. If they fixed that I might give it another shot.

John Bentley

2025...it is what it is. Dogs barking, video footage lost, etc. Thanks for being open and honest with us, it's all we could ask for. Maybe seeing Raven running point soon would bring balance to the world! Love what y'all do.

kelley white

thanks for update you all do a good job thats why I stay here

E TX Rick

I totally understand not wanting to change when you're comfortable with P.P. Multiple camera timelines can be merged together using SOUND to sync them all. Then you create a single Timeline of the Multicams, which can blend all the Sound into a single stream (if you want it to do that) and individually select the video portion as you see fit to display during the Timeline. Hey Michael.. your hard work does not go unnoticed. Don't stress too much over the lost files. I know it is frustrating, but it is what it is. For sure take some time to let the river go down. Hey Raven! I see you there!👀 Hope you are doing good. Still planning on doing some trot-lining on the Green? I can guarantee it will be the most watched video of HLC!💗

Goose hunter

You do an Awesome Job Captain on every video. You Dan and the whole crew its a pleasure to watch every video. best part of my day.

Kirk B.

Heck, y'all are the best bang-for-your-buck entertainment value on the Internet! Where else can you get all of this for $5? Don't sweat the petty stuff. (If you pet the sweaty stuff, that's on you😈). We will still be here when the river gets to a reasonable level. Carry on, Cap'n!

Gary D Craig

No worries Michael! Sometimes shit happens! We will be here regardless. Always look forward to that notification of something new from HLC!!!

Mostly Harmless Pictures

I was too for over a decade. The. I finally spent the time to dive head first into resolve. No monthly fees, and sound, edit, vfx, and delivery, all in one program.

WaKule

I must agree with Gary D on this one Cap'n Michael, don't sweat it, shit happens! I think the view ratio proves what we've been saying all along, you've got the formula (as well as the people) to have one of the best channels on the webs! Tight lines Michael

Jim Oosterbaan

Carry your cane doing your captain video. It might calm down your hands

Jim Oosterbaan

You’re a good guy. As Steve says we are faithful to the channel

Jim Oosterbaan

Share more of your personal life. We are all interested. Maybe introduce us to a significant friend

Bert Wallace

Thanks for the update and the work you put into the HLC channel Michael.

Bscooter

Love your site and all the pretty ladies.

Bscooter

I think you should make an "R" rated version! :-)
