Welcome to season 3:) In my not so humble opinion, one of the greatest seasons of television ever. Every one of the Expanse fans who sign up for reactions (spoiler free) can't wait for this moment. You have been all in since 1x1, you already get it... You have been paid out a bit so far, but season 3... Well let's just say your bowl will be plentiful.

Season 3 is so good, you're in for quite a ride. Excellent commentary as always.

The Razorback is a 'racing pinnace', I don't know if she used it for slingshot racing, someone else might know for sure. I agree with you about Fred Johnson. The moves he's making just feel like he's always two steps behind. Dawes has already burned him when he took Cortezar. Any 'true' OPA will use Johnson then throw him away. I feel like Naomi's protestations about going to Io didn't look good for her. It reeked of desperation to get out of her situation. She kept saying in S2 that she needed to do the right thing, to fix things. Going to find Mei is the correct move, but she didn't see it. And as Julie said, "You'll never catch the Razorback!"

Slingshot racers don't have Epstein drives on them. Or at least you can't compete in a slingshot race with one.

Are you aware your syncing timer is runnin backwards? It essentially counts down to the episode' s end.). I didn't realize till I had to pause n the middle and resync.

Looking forward to watching. My husband has joined me for the last four episodes - really enjoying the commentary. I have a tendency to get really lost in the storylines, and I appreciate the moments where you call out the artistry - whether it’s particularly good acting, writing, scene composition, or CGI.

I’m sure more people will start commenting this, but DO NOT watch the opening credits to episode 7…it will spoil a cameo

Blackd0nuts

Great reaction, as always! It's becoming reaaaaally tough to comment without spoiling anything lol! Yes this is Holden coming back and I love it. You've already been warned this season is going to be something else. I'll just say that next episode is one of my favourite.

So I have a couple levels of feedback. In terms of the commentary, others feel transactional or just providing little more than exposition. You're genuinely conversational, which I enjoy. It's obvious you're a real fan and are enjoying the journey. From a story standpoint, I love how they just jump right into the action. The crew dynamics are great. Prax in just a handful of episodes shows that he's not just a tag-along, and the crew recognizes it. Great stuff. And Bobby just means business in her power armor. Frankie absolutely pulls off the look, stares and stance of someone trained to be a serious soldier.

Yes, I don't understand the timer counting down, either. It makes resyncing much harder. I thought it was so we aren't surprised by the end sneaking up on us or something. But I'd prefer it in sync with the current timer elapsed from the beginning.

Great insight into the characters, their arcs and relationships. Really always impressed with how you see the big picture and the small stuff equally well!

I always thought it was like America's Cup sailboat racing, but with the fastest racing ships in the system. so they are NOT sling shot boats as you point out, they are hot formula one vehicles with a powerful Epstein drive! The history of flight is depicted on the side of the Razor back also. In addition, I like to point out Cotyar's use of the word "teakettle" as that signifies a ship without a drive, just kind of floating along in the big vacuum of space which is the drop ship. We know it has thrusters because it can land and take off on Earth but no fancy drive.

Yeah, mine cou both up and down, so once I realized what was doingpn, no problem. it Jost cabby me off guard for a sec.

Not strictly true. A ship with a drive can tea kettle. It's called this when a ship moves using it's reaction thrusters only, which are jets of super heated steam; hence tea kettle.
