As Greg noted, the animation is another prime example of excellence expected now-a-days from Production I.G. These days Production I.G. is not just a animation studio, but is able to do the role of producer of many of the anime series they work on. This studio also worked on 'Ghost in a Shell: Stand Alone Complex' (2002) and another personal favorite 'Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These' (2017).

As of the end of this episode, Earth has 364 days left. I mentioned this here since I know Greg will not watch the Outro or Next Episode Preview, which ends by mentioning how many days Earth has left.
