I feel like they stuck the landing on this one, especially considering the creatives did not know this was the final season until they were already working on it. A few quick thoughts: I'm glad Ollie got her moment in the finale. Justifies spending an episode on her earlier in the season. We've seen a "mindless proto-Klingon" once before in the ST:TNG episode "Genesis". The Rutherford implant plot did seem to come out of left field. Complete speculation here: I feel like Rutherford choosing the Cerritos over his implant was supposed originally intended for future season. Once the creatives found out this season was all they had, rushed at the end to include it and to get to that final scene. Placing Starbase 80 at the edge of the quantum reality portal really gives similar vibes to Deep Space Nine being placed at the edge of the Bajorian Wormhole. On a personal note, this series is how I found your reaction channel. Furthermore, you are the first reactor I have supported on Patreon. Looking forward to watching more series with you here.
