Man, you forgot the One Ship short after the show. You do not want to miss out on those. This short final season really allowed them to 'show off' a lot. No doubt you'll enjoy it.

i hope you get to check out the x-ray bonus scenes at some point and react to them. They're all great :) I will also add that I don't think even if Holden had immediately listened to Naomi he would've been able to get far enough away. Even Naomi isn't right all the time, especially at the moment.

Love the Tombstone tagline

Looks like the best day of the week is today! Thanks Greg. You never disappoint.

It is bittersweet to enter the final phase... I know that 5x10 hits really hard. It is "The Empire Strikes Back" of the series with the extra gut punch of Alex's character death. Makes it even more impactful. For a book reader, a boon to watching, we entered new territory and it works out kinda fun not knowing.

I'd be super happy to see that separate reaction to those, but for your own enjoyment they are in many cases very tied to the episode they're attached to time wise.

The impact of the war is so immense. The Earth has been broken, it was hanging on by a thread before. I will always wish that Amazon would have broken the budget to sail this into 10 episodes, but this season does not disappoint. It is an honor to ride this out with you.

Yeah separately is great, but I would try to do each after the episode they aired with, maybe a nice little morsel for us to watch between each episode.

That's a great point about the minimum safe distance Jim would've been able to achieve! I still think the scene did its job and defined the crew (and the audience) as being on the raggedy edge.

Love your Belter tats and shave!

I think you're right, this episode shows how very off-kilter the Roci crew are with one of their family gone. It's a wonderful decision, especially since it wasn't part of the original plan and was something they had to adapt to between seasons 5 and 6, to make this the "mourning Alex" episode without having to mention his name every few seconds. We don't need them to constantly remind us of the hole Alex leaves because we can see it in how all the relationships have changed. It's a great bit of show don't tell, for all that it's painful to watch. I also love getting to learn more about the two returning members of Drummer's family, Michio and Josep. Not only are they great character who are well acted, they give a bit of a glimpse at how average Belters are adapting or are struggling in Marco's brave new world.

And YES, that one guy was indeed the same one from Season 1x1...many miss that which is understandable!

One other comment on production: this season was filmed during the height of COVID and was very difficult for the actors and crew: even the writers were not able to be on set. Everyone was living in a bubble and it shows in some of the scenes especially on Ceres (in my view anyhow). Again, that they were able to pull it off under such difficult circumstances is another testament to the devotion of the actors and all the crew of The Expanse.

I also wanted to add that Strange Dogs is the name of one of the Novellas associated with the book series (and my personal favorite). More to come on that!

Forgot to add, you can almost consider them as deleted scenes from the episode you just watched.

One thing to think about with Filip is, he's beginning to feel the weight of his actions. Call it Trauma or PTSD for his own part in killing millions.

Naomi shares an insight into Holden's behaviour in book 8, and it was such a moment for me. Amos's words always stand out because he so often doesn't say anything. Peaches is the check now on the ship, especially for Amos. Naomi told Filip one day the weight of his actions will come back to haunt him.
