Dear Mr. Josef,

Thank you for your message and the related request.

We apologize for the delay in your order. However, this delay is due to the massive damage to your data carrier. Unfortunately, we repeatedly come across physical limitations that do not allow us to read the platters at a higher speed. If we speed up these processes, there will be a high probability that no data can be recovered from the data carrier, since there is a high probability that consequential damage will occur.

Of course, we don't want to take this risk and so we have to stick to the working speeds that your hard drive tells us. At the moment we have not been able to gain access to your data because the damage to the surface is so serious.

We wish you a nice day and are of course always happy to assist you as a contact person. @everyone

I hope it gets repaired.... it takes so much longer now... im so sorry to everyone

Im sorry to hear that man, but hopefully their delicate persistence will pay off In the end

I just hope you can get your data back. I don't feel like you owe any of us an apology. Shit happens.

It breaks my heart. At least its not completely lost yet. All we can do is wait I suppose. Much love and support to ya til they work it out. <3

If it takes more time and it's successful, then it's worth it

Damn, this sucks, I know what that kind of data loss feels like. This should be a lesson learned though, RAID 1 (storage mirroring as a back up) is going to be your best friend in the future.

Dylan, RAID 1 is literally used to backup your data across multiple drives, which is literally what redundancy is. If one fails, you have the data perfectly copied across multiple other drives to use in the failed drives stead. It’s not like i said RAID 5 which stripes your data across multiple drives to expand storage, and if one fails then all your data is gone. RAID 1 should absolutely be used for backup, that’s what it’s meant for, and it’s saved me from going through problems like this on more than one occasion.
