'Founding Fathers of England Part 1' Episode 22 'FPTK Revisited' (Patreon)

Welcome to our 'Favourite Places to Knit - Revisited' collection

In this re-edited edition of an adventure we took you on in 2016, join us at Peverill Castle. This episode is the perfect follow on from anyone who enjoyed 'England: A Castle Nation'. Peverill Castle lies in Derbyshire and its links to one of Englands most important Kings are scattered throughout the site. In this episode we explore the story of 'The Plantagenets', in particular King Henry. Along the way we explore the castle and learn more about one of the founding fathers of England.

Join us as we:

• Visit Peverill Castle and discover who built it

• Find out who the Plantagenets were and how they came to rule England

• Explore the castle and discover some of its most interesting parts

• Look at King Henry's links to Thomas Beckett and how he met his terrible end

• Look at the legacy left behind by King Henry when he died

• Enhance the originally broadcast episode with improved sound and lots of new footage

This is the series where we take a look back at the original episodes of FPTK. Like all the episodes in this series:

• Dan will re-edit them and we will publish them here in a series

• Just like our Gold Editions of 'The Yarny Book Club' or 'England: A Castle Nation', this series will be available IN FULL to Gold & Platinum Patrons

• Whenever we publish a new episode though, we will make it available for one month to Silver Patrons as well!
