Welcome to our ’Yarn Reviews’ collection.

Kay is here with a brand new deep dive into 'Beaches & Birdsongs' 2024 Advent Yarn. Kay talks you through the colourway choices, lets you know everything she received in the advent calendar and lets you know her thoughts on value for money. Then Kay demonstrates how 'she' reorders yarn to show it off perfectly. Think of this as a tutorial hidden within a review.

Join Kay as she:

  • Takes a look at a Beaches & Birdsong Advent Calendar

  • Mentions the dyers new website which is https://www.ambleandwend.com

  • Discusses pricing and if she thinks the calendar was value for money

  • Shares with you what she dislikes about lots of yarn advent calendars

  • Shows you everything you received in the advent calendar and lets you know what she liked best about it

  • Takes you through some of the skeins she didn’t like and lets you know why she didn’t like them

  • Shows you how to reorder yarns to really show off your collection

Thank you so much for showing the process you use to arrange your colors. I never know where to start. I’m going to give your technique a go.

I'm terrible with colors - that was super helpful! I loved seeing how it all came together as you rearranged the minis. Thank you!

That was really helpful Kay, thank you. It may be obvious to others but your technique of grouping colours in small batches to start will allow me to make the most of my stash and consider bigger projects with better colour choices ie blankets etc.

Diana Lovatt

Thank you for this and I loved to see how you work with the colours.

Gorgeous review... 💕What a beautiful theme and colour ways... and I loved the discussion about the colour progression. Can't wait to see what you make with this sometime down the track... ☺️

That is a perfect idea . I much prefer to have it all laid out and then pick my own order!
