Hi Kay and Dan, I am so much enjoying knitting my first squares. I dont have a lot of mini's or left over fingering yarn, but making it as I go. Question: can I start making the 3th square on the left and 3th square on the top as before, or do I need to wait before the square in the middle is knitted?

The Bakery Bears

Hi! You knit your first row of three, then you start with your first square above. So its when you hit your fifth mitred square, the one in the middle of the second row, the you need the picking up on both sides tutorial. If you work best from written instructions, all this is explained clearly in the pattern which also has schematics. You can buy the pattern here https://bakerybears.com/stitch-in-time/
