The Bakery Bears Radio Show Episode 18 - Whats did the Romans ever do for us? (Patreon)

Welcome to our 'Bakery Bears Radio Show' collection and your early access to Episode 18!

Thanks to some truly awful weather, we're twenty four hours late with the show! But we've made it, and what a show we have in store. This is of course your early access straight to the latest episode of the 'Radio Show'.

In todays show we are heading out for a wet and windy walk in search of a Victorian Bandstand. Along the way we are discussing one of Dan's favourite topics, the Romans! We're pondering the that famous question posed by Monty Python in the Life of Brian, 'What did the Romans ever do for us'.

Join your hosts, Dan & Kay as they:

• Discuss why they love the Romans so much
• Remember Dans first exposure to a Roman archaeological site - you can read his article on this subject in this issue 19 of Knitability https://bakerybears.com/read/
• Discuss their trip to Rome in 2005 - Dan was reading 'Emperor - The Gates of Rome' whilst on the trip https://www.goodreads.com/series/44444-emperor
• If you would like to read more about this subject you can do so here http://blog.english-heritage.org.uk/what-did-the-romans-do-for-us/
• Find and recreate the photograph included in this post over 100 years on!
