I love the addi needles but use the chiagoo more often. Mostly because of cost and most of my LYS stock chiagoo more. Addi are my favorite. Thanks for your review

I live in Canada and unfortunately I now have to order any Addi needle through their US Distrubution website direct from Germany. I don't think that a lot of yarn stores initially carried this brand in Canada. I was able, at one time, to order them through a Canadian yarn store but no more. It sounds like the US is in the same situation as well. I have never seen an interchangeable set. A yarn store in Toronto had a very limited amount of types and range of sizes a couple of years ago. I purchased one or two fixed pair sizes (the packaging looks familiar). I have used the fixed needles but then I changed over to everything Chia Goo! I did like the fixed circulars, as you said, because they do have a very smooth join and I was knitting with a lace weight yarn with no problems. I was also able to purchase 2 sets of their "Flexi Flips", they are named something else in Europe, DPNs that bend in the middle on a nylon cord. I have amassed a small collection because I absolutely love them and now knit all of my socks on them, and the odd pair of mittens too. Your work is held onto 2 DPNs so I have to use the magic loop method, except there is no cord involved. Some people like using them and some people do not; very mixed reviews beause of the design. I also bought, about 25 years ago, a pair of the "Rocket" line needles which I think were the pre cursour to the current fixed needles. They had a nylon cord. Unfortunately I was new to circular needles and bought a large size with a small cord so have never been able to use them. I really like the brand and I think that their needles are very high quality and on par with Chia Goo. Fortunately the Chia Goo line of needles are widely available in Canada and I like using a steel tip! Thank you very much for the review! It has brought back a lot of memories!
