Welcome to our ‘Knit Along with Kay’ collection.

Over the years one of the questions Kay has been asked the most is 'How long does it take you to knit a pair of socks'. Whilst this is dependant on so many factors, this is a question which roughly should be answerable. In this four part series which has been running over the two months, Kay is trying to find the answer.

In todays final episode in the series, join Kay as she:

  • Checks in on her timed sock quest with an update on where she is after nearly eight hours
  • Shows you her completed Prom Queen Socks https://bakerybears.com/prom-queen/
  • Shares with you her final time check for her completed sock
  • Talks through the benefits of knowing how long it takes to knit a sock
  • Summarises the process she has gone through and what she has taken from it

The rest of the series will be available:

Thank you so much for watching. Kay's Design Diary will return on the 30th of August 2022 with a very special episode previewing a huge pattern release which will take place on the 1st September 2022.

Rewatched this lovely series during my early morning knitting this morning, and loved it even more this time around... 😊 Such an interesting series, and I am intrigued to find the Cal Newport book and have a read.

I'm right at 8 hours for a pair of socks. I also agree with Kay, usually my 2nd sock is faster to knit than the first.
