Welcome to the 'Bakery Bears Radio Show' Episode 75

We are so excited to return with the latest edition of our 'Radio Show'. In todays show we are talking about Christmas and specifically why do we sometimes stop ourselves getting excited for it? We've all heard and it and felt it before when we see decorations up, 'Oh thats way too early', we think. In the show we try and get to the bottom of why we do that and when is it ok to start getting excited for a wonderful time of year.

Join Kay & Dan as they:

  • Take you for on a decidedly damp walk
  • Mention Singing in the Rain and discuss old fashioned musicals
  • Discuss when is it too early to start getting ready for Christmas
  • Talk through if Christmas is too commercialised
  • Pose the question why does society put off getting ready for Christmas
  • Discuss what Christmas means to them
  • Mention the Bakery Bears Advent Calendar2022 https://www.patreon.com/posts/bakery-bears-74734479

We'll be back on the 29th of December 2022 with the next episode of the 'Radio Show'.

I grew up with a tradition of putting candles in our windows on Dec 5th, but our tree wasn’t put up until Christmas Eve and was decorated by Santa Claus while I was asleep. Everything came down the weekend after Jan 1st. As an adult, I began my decorating after Thanksgiving dinner, but ever since the prevalence of Hallmark movies and advent yarn calendars, I’ve started decorating very quickly after Halloween and leave it until 12th Night

Decided to watch a Christmas movie this morning (Sat after Thanksgiving). My 6 yr old objected because "it isn't December." 🙄 This from the kid that we let wear Christmas clothes and watch Christmas movies all year round. She just doesn't want to share the tv because she very quickly came running back in exclaiming, "This is my favorite Christmas movie ever!" when my husband told her it was time to clean her room.
