Welcome to the 'Bakery Bears Radio Show' Episode 92

We are always delighted to feature listener suggestions in our Radio Show. A few weeks ago we were asked by a listener to talk about pride, specifically do we feel that it might be lacking in the world currently. After deliberating on the subject for a number of weeks, in todays episode we talk about this fascinating subject.

Join Kay & Dan as they:

  • Talk about Dans musical theatre history
  • Test run Dans new raincoat
  • Discuss handbags and what ladies keep in them
  • Talk about watches and why people don’t tend to wear them anymore
  • Discuss pride in ourselves and analyse if we think people have lost it
  • Consider how people felt about themselves and how areas looked 50 years ago, compared to today
  • Talk through what factors might have led us to a point where so many people seem to not have pride in themself
  • Discuss the rise in community spirit and the positive effects of being healthy during the COVID pandemic

We'll see you on the 31st August with the next episode of the show when we all be discussing 'Pride & Prejudice'.

I love to have my morning coffee on my patio in my jammies….My grandson wanted a watch so he could learn how to tell time 💙

When someone stops taking interest in their appearance, it can be a sign of depression. The word “malaise” kept coming to mind as I listened to your show on “taking pride”. I wonder if a pervading sense of “nothing matters” or “it doesn’t make any difference” may also partly come from a loss of faith in any sort of Bigger Picture for our lives??
