now who recommended this?!? damn they just wanted to make us cry. She only ever sang it twice, both time she could barely get through it, once in stand up to cancer and another time in her 1989 tour when ronan's mum was in the crowd.

As painful as this song is (and i tear up no matter how many times i’ve listened to it) It is a beautiful tribute and an important piece to hear. I feel like with everytime someone listens to this, ronans memory lives on. Your reaction is universal, it’s i think the one thing everyone in this world can agree on, that little kids passing is the worst thing imagineble 🤍

You said you were afraid it wasn’t a good reaction……sir that was/is a human reaction. Thank you for doing it and sharing. Taylor has only sang it live 2 times. Once for Stand up to Cancer and once in concert where his Mom and family were there. She asked before hand. She wanted to sing it for her to honor him. I also think Taylor giving his mom writing credits was a beautiful way to continue to raise money for Ronan’s Foundation. She even checked with Maya before re-recording the song! Cancer sucks always, but when it hits innocent kids it seems to hit different! Thanks again for reacting to Ronan’s story!

I believe that Taylor has only performed this song live on two occasions. The first time was at a benefit concert for Stand Up To Cancer. Reportedly, it took Taylor some time to regain her composure. The second time was when Ronan's mother attended one of Taylor's concerts. I think it was the 1989 tour, but I'm not sure.

It's an impossibly hard song to listen to. I have an almost 6 year old son and my biggest fear is if something ever happened to him. This song so beautifully remembers how special Ronan was and how much light he brought to the world. Also, thanks for being a man who's ok showing his emotions to the world! I think it's so important for others to see 🫶
