I am so glad that you watched this live performance. Igor, the pianist, is the composer of this song and Stranger, Ave Maria, Olimpico and many, many others. He is the composer who came out of retirement to work with Dimash, extremely successful and famous, the two are a magical combination. Thank you for sharing this, and for giving us an update on the next concert, sorry it’s giving you such difficulties with the audio. Thank you again John, fantastic reaction as always ❤️.

New Wave is an International competition show for young performers, which takes place currently in Sochi, Russia. Igor Krutoy is actually one of the founding members back in the early 2000's. It takes place over a week which has a couple of days of special performances, which I believe that this performance was part of. Dimash himself never competed in the show, just performed as a guest, first time being in 2018 with the performance of Sinful Passion. And where Igor saw him perform live for the first time. Great reaction John! I too love this performance. Dimash has done a lot of songs Igor wrote for him. 2019 was particularly busy with Igor.

You wanna see Dimash and flowers? Watch the live version of Love Is Like A Dream from New Wave! It was his first time back after lockdown and Dears missed him so much, he was loaded with flowers! The speech at the end was hilarious too. Dimash was like, so many flowers, Dears follow me. He waved his hands and everyone followed him off stage 🤣😂 The funny thing was, Dears still wanted to show their love and he wasn't performing at a personal concert. This was an event that had other performers and Dimash was just a guest that was invited. 😂 It completely made my year. It's the video with the red checkered jacket.

There was the performance in the grey suit at Sochi, I can't remember what song he was singing now but so many flowers were brought that he just stood there looking helpless. Then again after Fly Away where the whole dance troupe had to help him collect the flowers. Thank you for working so hard on the concert. We do appreciate it ❤️

Hey John! This song is wonderful and as you said once again, you like it! Dimash is currently performing the vocalization of this song as you may have noticed at the concert in Almaty. But you can't miss performing it at a concert in Kiev, Ukraine in 2020 , it was his last concert before the pandemic, and so amazing! https://youtu.be/UCbpt48KntY?si=mvHue9P9-7xL_na2 Dimash's heavenly performance.

Thanks for the reaction John. There are several versions the Dimash does of this song and I think I may love the vocalize version the best but this is pretty fantastic too.

Laura

John is so sweet. Thank you for the reaction!! Please react to Vocalise as well!! The one in Arnau.

Enjoyed this reaction too. "Know" is a gem, both with lyrica and as a vocalise, this song hits me different everytime I hear it. I'm usually not a huge fan of compilation videos but Dear LiLaSi made a video with 10 different performances of this song put together and I love it. The video shows both his consistency and versatility: https://youtu.be/XjDrFxU35KQ?si=2jiRHT7SJlJvxKG9

It won't let me watch this one. Says video is private but I'm a member 😞

If you want to see Dimash IN A ZONE when singing Know, New Wave is not the one to watch. His smaller solo concerts like Yekaterinburg are where the real gold is. Watch this if you want zone and perfect, different interpretation. https://youtu.be/OvXQ3LmPz8Y?si=JQ6-9RINB5VpWrhP

Oh yeah, the vocalise version he did in Kiev is magical! I hope John checks it out, it's my favorite so far.

John mentioned 'the story behind "Know." Can anyone share what that story is?

I had the same problem. I upgraded to $5/month subscription, and I was able to watch.
