Gooooood morning patreon family,

It's a sad day... we are here... the final episode of Heartstopper Season 3.

I'm gutted that yet again we have reached the end of Heartstopper content. It was such a long time coming and even though it's lasted a month here on Patreon I am still gutted it is over.

I must apologise that my mic has some issues towards the end of this video but you should still get what I am saying!

I am looking forward to following this up with a full season review at some point in the near future.

I am going to take a quick break from creating. I am burnt out. But, I will be back soon.

Love, always ♥️

As a retired therapist, I loved the convo btw Charlie and Jane. Real Growth for both of them. I find it interesting that they portray Nick as a “ top.” And interestingly we can see Charlie’s scars as well as his skinniness. And they are both “so fucking hot!”

I agree that this COULD serve as an ending. It feels rounded for me. However, if the stars align, a 4th season would be great. Jackie, you have done a wonderful job throughout these three seasons. Thanx so much.

This show clicked a switch in me and i found out what is about recently. I always thought i am not happy about job,my body, my weight even my family. But it is about me. I am unhappy how i live my life. Not like them, i am living a life proper to my family and my society but not in my dreams. Thanks to Alice i realize that at age 31. I am a bit late but better than being unhappy forever. I am starting to therapy right away. And dont be worry about being burnt out. We will be here when you are ready. Take care of yourself too 🩷

That was well worth the wait little brother! As always your reactions are the best! I believe Alice said at some point that they wrote the Ferris wheel science the way they did because they wanted to expand on the part that was left out if (when) we get season 4. I think that they also said that is why they ended the episode before Nick and Charlie start talking about Nick’s trip… There were definitely moments I was hoping to see (Nick FaceTiming Charlie from one of the Uni’s) but that scene at least I can understand taking out to make the scene at the end more impactful. Speaking of that last scene, the reverence Nick takes in pulling off Charlie’s shirt is amazing especially in comparison to him just rushing to take off his shirt…

Wildallie Diaz

I agree, last episode felt a bit rushed… but it was a beautiful season!

nardos

it's been so amazing to experience this season again with you, thank you for these reactions!! and i will say, it's not in the comics but alice has confirmed that charlie ends up going to university college london so yeah they definitely end up going long distance for a bit! i dont think we know anything else officially though besides him ending up being a book editor so i have to imagine he goes for english/classics! also yeah i was sad to see that coming out moment on the ferris wheel removed But assuming it's for the sake of giving that even more space and time in a hopeful season 4 then i am so so down!!!

I´m 100% with you at the point that you´re not sure what this show opened in you. It´s the same for me. I´m still pretty unsure about the meaning of this show for me. I´m so glad i found your channel, thank you for all your great content.

From what I have heard or read, you are exactly right about why those couple of things were left out of this final episode. Alice didn’t want it to be too much of a “cliffhanger” just in case the fourth season failed to materialize, but I’m sure both of those things will be included in the fourth season, probably toward the beginning of it. To me the season has been very well paced, and this last episode did not feel rushed to me at all. In fact, I had been a little concerned that moving from the darker material in the first half into lighter episodes might feel a little jarring, am I even seen some say they felt that was true, but to me, it was not jarring at all, and I was very pleased to see that.

I'm not sure that I feel that that's implied at all. I suppose it could be inferred because Nick is physically larger but I didn't get that impression from the story or this season anyway. But I could, of course, be wrong.

Dennis Verner

I haven't seen the last book (or books) of course but that last scene with Isaac and his reacting to Charlie's comment about Tori's indefinite relationship. I think Isaac's journey is about to be expanded.

Congratulations on surviving the emotional roller-coaster that was season 3. I think that they've left the door open for a substitute moment. Just like the Charlie/ Harry moment in season 2 was substituted into the episode 7 moment with Ben. How the Rugby boys scene was split with episode 8. I feel like the missing 🖤🩶🤍💜 moment might make an appearance in season 4. The groundwork is there for it. Even with the discussion on the Ferris wheel 'I don't ever feel anything', the boyfriend/ girlfriend issues, down to our favourite out Aro-Ace character asking at the end if they were dating. I trust Alice to have plans for it.

Brittney

This episode was so beautifully well done, like seeing how far Charlie has came from season 1 where we saw little bits where it suggested that something is going on and to now, where he's more confident with everything from his mental health journey, to being there for everyone else and for himself like it really showcases a lot. And to see how much Nick is still obviously worried for Charlie like those months apart really showcased an opening of how much it really mentally effectively Nick in a way, like we all understand. And yes, absolutely! Like if this was the way to finish the story because we really don't know if we are getting a season 4 even though we are all very hoping so, but if this was the ending, it really did justice for all the characters from the first season to now, like it all came full circle. If Netflix does renew them for a fourth/final season it would make sense to add the last little bit of volume 5 and then go into volume 6 where we see more of what's to come, but they probably might do that at the halfway point because if I can remember correctly, I think Alice said it takes a year and a half to complete one graphic novel so considering she'll nearly close to 100 pages down so far for volume 6, we could be seeing a longer volume but also on top of that volume 6 and Nick and Charlie novella will be the main focus for season 4, so I hope we get longer episodes if we get a season 4 to really showcase everyone's last journeys before it all comes to a close

Cry as much as you want or need to, no apologies. You're not alone in that. With the future uncertain, I just really hope that they do NOT break up Nick and Charlie. Some people think they're too young and should go off and have experiences with other people but I say screw that! There are plenty of people who are fortunate enough to find their love in "high school" are "high school sweethearts" and stay together and grow together into adults. Love is so precious and when you find the love of your life you don't just chuck it away to go "find yourself" especially when you've already been through some very important things together. I want Nick to meet people and figure out who he is outside of being "Nick and Charlie" but not at the expense of not being with Charlie. I think it'd be a trope to split them up and a cop out if the next volume does that and puts them back together at the end. Seeing how they grow up into men while staying together would be wonderful to see!

I think so too! If you find your soulmate, why let them go?! 🫶🏽

Frances

Same, Jackie. I cried each and every episode. The ending was so wholesome and combined with that beautiful song, I was bawling my eyes out. A lot of the times I find myself crying over „joyful“ scene more than over sad scenes tbh. And I also thought that how season 3 ends would be a perfect ending but there is also al lot of unresolved questions that could be answered in a potential season 4. I’m also still pretty sure we’ll get a fourth season 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾 Thank you for these lovely reactions 🥰

>>154195595

I was cought off guard by the ending and didn't expect to cry that much for a "joyfull" scene tbh. But it was just so sweet and moving, and they were so beautiful together... That song just "killed" me! Soooo many wonderful songs this season... Sigh!

Andrew Pettitt

There is a mini comic called something like “A very Special Day”. It’s set at the end of Charlie’s first term at Uni. It’s from Nellie’s point of view as she and Nick go to meet Charlie at the station on his return for the Xmas holidays. So I think they do go to different Unis. Needless to say, it’s very cute.

Prinsassy

So, thats it, I cant believe it 😪 It was a wonderfull journey, with all of you 💞 Its sad that some moments are not shown in the show, in the last Q and A Alice wrote that she wanted to make 10 or at least 9 episodes but there wasnt enough money to make it, shame on netflix for that... But anyway, this season was extraordinary, the acting WOW, the Story, the Music, the filming and all the Details 💖💫 There isnt anything out there on TV that makes me feel like this show ! Like I said multiple times IT'S MAGICAL 💫 I cant wait for alll the wonderfull content we will get here with Jackie in the future. I love your Videos and this people here in your community! Thanks to Heartstopper that I'm here with you all... So, I better stop now 😅🥺😭 Happy sunday beautiful people 😘

It was Charlie understanding how deeply Tori feels despite appearanced that caused me to shed tears

>>154181383

I thought they didn‘t give that asexual storyline to Tori in the show because Isaac already has it…

nardos
>>154181383

no i mean i Think alice has already confirmed that if there was a s4, we would be expanding on toris asexuality in tandem with isaac (plus that shot where they hold on isaac looking after tori and micheal for a couple seconds definitely seems to be implying Something there)! knowing alice (and the fact that they're aroace themselves) i feel like if anything they'd take it as an opportunity to show different ways people experience asexuality which i think would be so so lovely but yeah, just my opinion!

Kela87
>>154195595

Also... Am I the only one who would prefer a movie with older Charlie and Nick instead of a 4th season? I just feel like it would be more believable since the actors are getting older (Kit cannot play a 18yo anymore guys, sorry 😂)

Rosie Dickinson

I agree they packed a lot into the last episode and some of it felt a bit rushed but the vibe was really good overall and it closed out the story on a good note. I really liked the story with Imogene and Nick and his smile once he started to figure out what she was trying to say. It mimics his conversation with her in season 1 which I liked.

Dionne Lakey

Charlie goes to Uni in London - I think UCL - we find out from mini-comics or annual q and a's with Alice

Wiebke Kempa
>>154181383

That would be great! Maybe Tori and Isaac become their own supportsystem about their asexual journey and she finally learns his name 😅

Kela87
>>154197765

I had to find that and read it of course... They're so cute I can't cope! 😍

Saundra Johnson Wire

Hi Jackie! Alice wrote a mini comic about Nick picking up Charlie at the train station for Christmas break along with Nellie. They do end up going to different schools. Nick goes to Leeds and I don’t remember where Charlie goes. I enjoy your reaction videos so much. Are you planning on reacting to Agatha All Along?

Kela87

I can relate with you, Jackie, and the other members who are wondering about what Heartstopper opened in us. I am a 37 yo ally, I am married and have a 2yo... I feel like I am both too old and too little queer to be THAT invested in this show. But I have always been a proud ally and I have always been interested in knowing more about queer culture. I think I cried when I saw my first gay pride because I just thougth how unfair it was for queer people to (still!) have to march for their rights. I just loved the show and have a major celebrity crush on Kit (I am a bit ashamed of it, since he's so young). I love the Joe/Kit relationship and I hope to see more of them in the future. I am happy that HS exists for young kids and I hope I can one day watch it with my kid as well 🤩 Thanks for crying with us!

Erin
>>154195595

I would like a 4th season there is still so much of the story to be able to fit into a movie. We have all of vol 6 to show as well as the Nick and Charlie novella, I think it would be interesting to have a movie somewhere down the line that shows where everyone is in their lives

Charles Alwyn

Will you be reacting to Agatha All Along???

Wiebke Kempa

And now Nick finally really does have some of Charlie‘s clothes. Charlie left his pink cardigan at Nick‘s house 🥰

Wiebke Kempa

From watching it the first time a month ago I remembered that I felt happy at the end and so I thought that this might be the episode I can watch without crying (delousional I know 😅) but than Nick looked at the rugby players and started smiling and that was it for the rest of the entire episode 😭🥲

Emily Brown

I think Alice has said Charlie goes to uni at University College London. They are long distance during uni years and then get a flat together. 💖 Also, I recently read that Patrick and Alice asked for an extra episode or two in the season and were told no.

Reem
>>154416693

Ah that's a shame if that's true (about being denied extra episodes). I feel like an extra episode or two could have had season 3 end with Charlie learning about Kit wanting to go to Leeds University and him telling Nick that he just wants him to be happy. I reckon I would prefer that as closure at least if season 4 ends up not happening. Anyway the season did end beautifully and it is open ended but I would have liked that added closure. How that makes sense.

I am a 38 year old cis-het woman. In my opinion not only does HS have LGBTQ+ representation for young people, it also gives examples for parents and for me, how to be a better ally. Great representation for allyship too.

lisa mcarthur

i love your reaction this season was so beautiful and so amazing and its was perfect the reason they left it there at the end is because they didnt know if its going to get review for one more season and now its a waiteing game game to see if we get one more season and i hope we get one more season to finish of this beautiful and amazing series they all done amazing job with this series and also this season they cover everything and this will help so many people around the word iam so happy that we got this speical and amazing series to watch just love it

Clara von Essen

Hi, Jackie: Did you finally do a specific video about the season as a hole? I would love to see it happen, I really enjoy your deeper comments. I'm not ready for not having a season 4. I would like to know also what you think about that possibility, since it ended almost 3 months ago and we know nothing about a renewal. Thank you for your art, for your comments, for your sincerity, loved every second of it!
