Chapter 173 - The Speedrun (Patreon)

For the rest of the Tournament of Catomania, Ōtsutsuki Yakou didn't really pay attention to the Tournament, as he only fought against the Champion of the Church of the Mysteries, which was an easier win than he initially thought.
While Constantine of the Church of the Mysteries was indeed powerful enough, it was also a bad match because most of his strength came from the occult exotic magic and controlling Daemons.
Unfortunately for the man, the Unicron Chaotic Source Dimension was dealing with the Daemon Incursions for a while Cycles, so Ōtsutsuki Yakou was expert at dealing with the foul creatures of the Immaterius Chaotic Source Dimension.
All of the Ōtsutsuki Clansmen were taught from an early age about the various Daemons, their weaknesses and strong sides, and everything. So, for someone who was mainly dependent on the Daemons, fighting someone who was apt was a nightmare.
While Constantine was, in essence, Daemon Hunter and Daemon Controller, he still lost against Ōtsutsuki Yakou, who had far more of the raw power and was more powerful than his opponent, something that Constantine lacked severely.
The pure raw power wasn't something that many of the members of the Church of the Mysteries had because they were more adept in controlling and finesse, especially against the opponents that were using their pure raw power without a second thought.
At the same time, it also showed as highly fatal against an opponent that had overwhelming raw power and knew how to use it.
While the victory was easy and hard at the same time because Yakou was only using his swordsmanship and physical abilities against the Champion of the Church of the Mysteries.
That was part of the strategy that was readjusted by Qianye Ying'er to better deal with the biggest threat in the Tournament, which was Altrouge Brunestud of the Pale Bloods and her Reality Marble.
The less information she had on him, the better it would be for their final clash.
For that reason, Qianye Ying'er proposed that he kept using only his physical strength and sword skills as much as it was possible to attain victory. Even the Ancestors of the Ōtsutsuki Clan that were present fully supported the idea.
The Pale Blood Champion presented even greater dangers, as the Pale Bloods had extensive information on the Ōtsutsuki Clan because the two of them had been working together for a long time already, so it was only natural that they would learn about their allies.
Due to this, they didn't really want to see Yakou showcasing his more particular and unique abilities in the meaningless duels, which held no reason for it. And because of that, Yakou was locked in the duel against Champion of the Longinus Dreizhen Orden, Reinhard Heydrich, for several hours, in fact.
He didn't use any of his particular abilities, only his Dao of Lighting, to support his speed and explosive powers because the Champion of Orden was a monster in every sense, and his mastery over the spear was superb.
Yakou even enjoyed their match greatly because it helped him elevate the realm of the Kenjutsu to greater heights. At the same time, even the blonde-haired holder and chosen one of the Longinuslanze Testament was also enjoying the match greatly, even though it was being dragged on for several hours.
From the other matches, he watched only the one between the Altrouge Brunestud and The Hunter of the Old Workshop. It was a splendid duel, as the Eclipse Princess of the Pale Bloods of the Holy City of Yharfnamn showcased almost spectacular martial abilities against the Hunter.
Coupled with her Reality Warping of the Reality Marble: Millenium Castle Brunnestud, she was the most formidable foe... extremely formidable foe to fight against.
Though, another almost spectacular match was between Meng Yan of the Demon Sealing Sect and Gu Qin Shan of the Heavenly Sword Sect.
Yakou watched the match, mostly to observe the famed Demon Sealing Arts of the Demon Sealing Sect...
Their Sealing Abilities, Techniques and Skills were far superior to the Fūinjutsu of the Ōtsutsuki Clan.
Part of that reason was the Fūinjutsu was created partially from the observation of the Sealing Arts of the different cultivation systems and from the large degree it was incomplete.
While some of the clansmen attempted to complete the Fūinjutsu System, it was clear that it would require a very long time to perfect. Everyone was aware of the deep and powerful potential of the Fūinjutsu held, judging on the Demon Sealing Arts of the Meng Yan that he showcased today.
And the defeat of the Gu Qin Shan of the Heavenly Sword Sect was almost instantaneous as all of his attacks were turned against the swordsman with the help of the Seals and within a few minutes, the swordsman was sealed within one of the Demon Seals.
But the most interesting thing came from the duel between Meng Yan and Altrouge Brunestud...
Naturally, the Pale Blood Heiress won the match, but there was one thing that Yakou learned from the Meng Yan during their duel that only added a smile to his face and another layer to his plan.
The Fūinjutsu could be used to seal the Reality Marble, at least for some seconds; that was enough for Yakou to act and destroy the parts of the Reality Marble. Once the Reality Marble: Millennium Castle Brunestud was destroyed, then Yakou was confident in his win by about 80%.
Soon enough, the finals would commence, as the Cathulhus had given them one week before the Finals would start. It was the last remaining for the preparations before the final showdown between the finalists of the Tournament of Catomania.
During the week, Yakou was training with the Ancestors almost nonstop, especially going through various strategies and tactics against Reality Warpers and Pale Bloods. The Ancestors of the Ōtsutsuki Clan did everything they could to prepare Yakou for the finals.
At the same time, the Crown Prince of the Ōtsutsuki Clan benefitted tremendously from the training because being taught personally by peak Paragon Realm cultivators was an honor that only a few within the Chaotic Source Dimension could enjoy.
Fundamentally speaking, the existences on the 3rd-Grade Tier 6 were too lofty to bother themselves with the mortals, and they would rarely take students, none fewer apprentices, and teach them.
