Chapter 175 - The Reward (Patreon)

After Ōtsutsuki Yakou won against the Black Eclipse Princess, the Tournament of the Catomania ended, and everyone started returning back to where they came from.

Now that it was done, nobody was keen on remaining any further, though what surprised Yakou a bit was that the Pale Bloods offered to buy anything interesting from the Tower them...

Though at the same time, they didn't really seem to care much that they lost the Tournament and also the opportunity to enter the Tower of Gods, as it was totally inconsequential to them.

Which, on a certain part, he could understand...

In fact, for many of the factions that came here to participate in the Tournament of the Catomania, the Tower of Gods wasn't really worth being an enemy of the Ōtsutsuki Clan.

Even though the Ōtsutsuki Clan was relatively small and didn't have many Tier 7 powerhouses, they had many alliances, and they were extremely unified. The clan often acted as one, and many of their Chaotic Origin Lifeforms were unmatched in their realm.

Ōtsutsuki Yakou got the key that would allow him to enter the Tower of God, together with the information about the Tower that was collected by the Cathulhus through the eons of time and, most importantly...

The thing that they wanted to obtain from the Tower of God.

Several Hours Earlier

After Ōtsutsuki Yakou took the Key from the Cathulhus, the leading Cathulhu that was on the same level as Lord Shibai, as both of them were Overlord-Class beings, went forward with the condition.

"When you reach the top of the Tower, you should be able to participate in the final test left by the Outside God to find his successor. If you can pass, you will obtain the Inheritance of the Outside God, including the entire Tower of God. Within his treasury, there should be one peculiar item called Kadaths of the Great Dreamer, that is the condition that we want from you, nothing more, nothing less."

The leading Cathulhu stated quietly about what they wanted to obtain from the Tower of God.

Ōtsutsuki Yakou didn't know what the Kadaths of the Great Dreamer were, but he was aware that it must be something of significant importance to the Cathulhus that they were able to give him something so valuable as the Key to the Tower.

Not only the Key to the Tower, but also letting him have the entire Tower if he succeeded as his personal playground. Naturally, the Ōtsutsuki Clan agreed to this as well, as the Tower of God would become his personal artifact with a few conditions... obviously.

Though he knew that he wouldn't be able to access most of the Tower's functions until he reached the Paragon Realm at least, it would still be extremely beneficial to obtain the Legacy of the Outside God.

The number of the Detached Ones across the endless realities of the Chaotic Source Dimensions could be counted on one hand lot. 

Obtaining a Legacy of one of them was something almost unthinkable because most of them were very well hidden, and they were sentient; they could choose to impart their knowledge or not.

There were cases where even a few Transcendent Beings were killed by the Legacy Artifacts when some of the Transcendents snatched the Legacy Artifacts from the chosen inheritor... in a nutshell, the might of the Detached Ones was great over this matter, and everyone was wary of the Legacies of the Detached Ones.

After Ōtsutsuki Clan returned back to the Unicron Chaotic Source Dimension and back to their homeworld, Starveil Origin Word. Now, Yakou had a very difficult mission in front of him, which was to enter the Tower of God. 

It was also decided that they would need to bring together a team of people entering the Tower of God because, due to the specifications of the Tower, the Chakara and other foreign substances to the Tower would be drastically suppressed. 

In regard to that, Yakou already proposed to invite Muzaka of the Werewovles from the Evernight High Council. The werevolved depended on their racial traits and Aura, which was basically their own Lifeforce, that couldn't be suppressed like Chakra would be within the Tower.

This caught the interest of several of the Elders before they agreed to the proposition. They needed people who would be least affected by the Tower suppression, which was pretty hard to find among the Clan.

Though there were still some.

Qianye Ying'er was already chosen to go for certain as well, and Ōtsutsuki Bai Long, as supreme swordsman of the younger generation of the Ōtsutsuki Clan, was naturally chosen because he would be least constrained by the rules of the Tower.

The Brahma War Goddess was chosen because they needed someone with enough brain to plan their steps most cautiously. From what the Cathulhus told them, there were plenty of powerful begins in the Tower of Gods.

Five Axis were comparable to the peak Tier 6 beings that were overseeing the entire Tower, albeit right now, according to the Catholics, only partially, as they followed the Outside God to serve him, while only one Axis was left to oversee the Tower.

Aside from that, they were warned about the Administrators that were basically as powerful as Low-Rank Chaotic Origin Lifeform; some were even more powerful as they were supported by the Tower itself.

Interestingly enough, the combat prowess of the inhabitants of the Tower was weird because while most of them were not as powerful in the destruction aspect, due to living in the Tower for millennials, their durability was insane, as was their physical strength. 

The Clan higher-ups were already searching for other suitable people who could go to the Tower, but after choosing Ōtsutsuki Kirihara, who, after obtaining one of the Heavenly Flames, earned herself qualification to go, there were almost no people to choose from.

As unfortunate it was, there were not many people in their Tier that could go into the Tower without being tremendously suppressed by the Tower of God, as the Chakra was Ōtsutsuki's lifeblood.
