Valkorion wasn't privy to her reasons of letting him handle this.

Either it was her way of letting him obtain merit for such thing, or there were other things in play, perhaps some politics.

If the Clan Ferros reported this information, it could be used by their rivals to halt them entirely, because it wasn't like the Clan Ferros was without any enemies, as they too had more competitors and enemies than they could count.

They would immediately paint it like the Clan Ferros wanted to use the Valyrian Legions to get rid of their opponents. It wouldn't be really actually that weird for the Clan Ferros to attempt to use the Vlayrian Legion to weaken their opponent.

Valkorion could see how the temperature in the room has dropped by several degrees when Valkorion presented the evidence to the General Belaerys, because anything that involved the Old Ghis and their Legacy was rather a sensitive topic for the Valyrian Freehold and especially the Dragonlord Families and Noble Valyrian Houses.

They were the ones that profited the most from the destruction of the Old Ghis, and they were the ones who had been fighting them for millennia. Even now, several thousand years after the Ghiscari Civilizations have fallen, the Valyrians were still clashing with the remnants of the Ghiscari and their vassals in the darkness.

The hatred that the Valyrians had for the Ghiscari and everything that was related to them was immense, especially for those in the positions of the leadership of the Valyrian Freehold, like Belaerys Dragonlord Family, which was one of the Triarchy of the Freehold.

"Dammed bastarads!"

What Valkorion didn't know was that General's son perished at the hands of the Ghiscari when a rebellion broke out on the island of the Ghiscari and his own son, who was a Legate stationed in the New Ghis, perished there at the hands of the leader of the Rebellion.

New Ghis is an island city in the Gulf of Grief, which borders on the Summer Sea. Its island lies south of Ghaen. Ghaen was an island in the Gulf of Grief. It bordered the Ghiscari Strait and lay off the southern coast of Essos near Ghiscar. South of it were two smaller islands, including New Ghis.

These were the primary colonies of the Ghiscari and nowadays after the destruction of the Ghiscari Civilization, they were the prime centers of the entire Ghiscari Civilization or at least what has remained of it after their downfall at the hands of the Valyrian Freehold a few thousand years ago.

After the death of his son, in his rage, General Aenar Belaerys burned the entire city down atop of his True Dragon, and since then, he has been one of the staunchest hunters for Ghiscari supporters and sympathizers.

He personally killed tens of thousands of people of the Ghiscari origin through the Dragonfire and in his free time he was rooting out the sympathizers of the Ghis in the Slaver's Bay and the Slaving Cities of Yunkai, Mereen and Astapor.

For the Ghiscari, name Aenar Belaerys was synonymous with death and dread. For many, the man was literally obsessed with slaughtering the Ghiscari, and even among the Valyrian Nobles and Dragonlords, he was rather a controversial figure.

Though it wasn't like anyone of the Pure-Blooded Valyrian descent would care if one of their own was carrying out genocide on the Ghiscari or some other conquered civilizations by the Valyrians.

Though the Ghiscari were something that was heavily disdained and looked down on by the Valyrians, especially the Pure-Blooded ones and Nobles. Due to the long-lived Beyonders and some Pathways that gave even higher Lifespan, the memories of the conflicts were in many cases rather alive.

Ancestors of some families were Angels or long-lived through the other means, essentially maintaining the hatred for the Valyrian Freehold towards the Ghiscari very much alive.

"So about the support?"

Valkorion asked as the General Aenar Belaerys woke from his stupor as the freezing aura ceased to be as the General of the Valyrian Legion looked at Valkorion and nodded his head.

"The Legion would provide support and also strike on the outskirts. I will be passing this information to the High Command to start an investigation into the Arvinos Clan and their connection to the Sons of the Harpy. If it's proved to be true, I will personally see to their destruction."

He almost wanted to shudder hearing the voice of General Aenar Belaerys, because the man was one of three sons of the current Patriarch of the House Belaerys and was a member of the Warhawk Faction of the Belaerys Family that wanted to expand the power of the freehold through the military might.

The military power that he had commanded was not small, and even though he was not really a contender for the position of the Patriarch of the House Belaerys due to his commitment to the Valyrian Legions, he still commanded enormous power within the family.

"Excellent. We are in your gratitude, General Belaerys."

Valkorion was really happy because this went rather way better than he had anticipated.

Not only did he obtain some sort of military support from General Belaerys, but it seemed that the Arvinos Clan would be under the scrutiny of the Freehold's investigation, due to their apparent connection with the Sons of the Harpy.

That was big no no.

"Please relay the information to the Ferros Chamber of Commerce that we need more supplies for the military. Delivery them as soon as possible."

Hearing that Valkorion nodded before the General Belaerys proceeded to speak once again.

"When are you and the Trifarian Mercenary Company planning to attack the banids and brigands so we can coordinate the attacks?"

Due to this, General Belaerys planned to use this opportunity to clean out most of the local bandit groups from the face of earth and kill them all. Even Valkorion knew that they would need to coordinate everything together to achieve the best results.

Which in this case was the complete destruction of every single bandit group that was in the vicinity of the Cartharys and around the Pantined Mountains.

At the case time, this was also rather good, because of the goblinoid invasion that was already happening in some regions of the Pantianed Mountains as the goblins and bugbears were coming down from the mountains and wreaking havoc in the entire place.

"Give me 24 hours to decide everything and then I will send a liaison over to discuss the details."

Valkorion said as General Belaerys shook his head.

"That won't be needed. My daughter just now arrived at the Cartharys and she would handle it. I will also assign her to the detachment of the soldiers that would be going with you after the bandits."

As much as Valkorion wanted to say no, there wasn't really way around it. He didn't like the idea of someone of the House Belaerys breathing down on his neck, but there wasn't much that he could do about it.

Having Dragonlord hovering over him like a Sword of Damocles was nothing pleasing... he knew that this was another way of controlling them and ensuring that they won't do something that would harm the interests of the Valyrian Freehold.

At the same time, should they find something really valuable, then the House Belaerys would be able to confiscate it from them.
