The Freehold, in this regard, was filled with countless contradictions, and it was a miracle that it worked the way it worked.

He also needed to talk with Camille Ferros personally about the recent development, though some of the minor things that were related to the business would be left to Albus, as Valkorion wasn't really that interested in them, in fact.

Nor did he understand those things, as he wasn't a merchant.

"Then prepare the things. By tomorrow, I will be departing from the Cartharys to the Painted Mountains to get rid of the bandits and brigands backed by the Arvinos Clan."

When Valkorion finished the talk with Albus and passed him the writings from General Aenar Belaerys, which contained the supplies and things that the General wanted to order for his Legion.

It was rather detailed, though for most of the content, it was the same copy of what Valkorion had already escorted to the encampment of General Aenar Belaerys. Right now, they needed to create a more precise and detailed battle plan on how to assault the bandits and brigands that were hiding in the Painted Mountains.

Right now, they had just preliminary plans on how to attack them, but they needed a more detailed version of the plan, one that would account for the assistance of the Valyrian Legion and also the presence of the Dragonlord.

Which was something that they needed to use, because it was their greatest weapon. With the presence of the Dragonlord, they could ignore their heaviest defenses and also most of the barriers because whatever they had prepared wouldn't be enough to stop a True Dragon.

It wasn't just for show or nothing that the Valyrians rose to the position of a global superpower.

Many nations in this world have powerful Beyonders. There were even some who had more powerful Beyonders than the Valyrian Freehold, like the Silvermoon Elven Empire in the Sothoryos, but it were the Valyrians who were the most powerful nation in the world.

And it was precisely due to the True Dragons and their symbiotic bonds with the True Dragons.

This was their trump card against practically every other faction, and it was impossible for anyone to replicate it, as the bond between the Valyrians and their Dragon Companions was something that couldn't be replicated by anyone else.

Tomorrow, after sorting things out with the plans and the Valyrian Legion, the Trifarian Mercenary Company would depart for the hiding place of the bandits, which was deep in the Painted Mountains.

Coincidentally, it was at the end of the mountain range, where the goblinoid population was almost non-existent due to the natural conditions of the area, which were rather hostile to the goblins.

When they returned to the manor, Valkorion was notified by one of the soldiers that the rest of the leadership of the Trifarian Mercenary Company had already started out on the strategic planning, which was carried out by Rhaenar Aertheos, as the former high-ranking officer in the Valyrian Legion, and most surprisingly...

Kled.

The last one came as a surprise, because Valkorion wouldn't have really thought that the mad Yordle would have such a thing in him.

During the journey to the Cartharys from Volantis, when it came to any fight with some unlucky bandit or bandits, it was the crazy Yordle in question who led his lizard companion, Skaarl, and started beheading the enemies left and right.

Before going to check on the plan-making, Valkorion sent his Darius and Aruk, as he went to his solar to call Camille Ferros through the Glass Candles, as he needed to tell her about the latest development, like he promised when they parted in the Volantis.

While Albus would push the more comprehensive report about the business side of things, he needed to talk with Camille about more politically oriented aspects of his meeting with General Belaerys.

The fallout with the Arvinos Clan was something that went even above their expectations, and Camille's little scheme of having him report it to the General of the Legions proved to be the right move, and it greatly paid off.

When he entered his solar, he took out the Glass Candle that he had inherited from his father; like many of the other objects within the manor that once belonged to the Tenebraenys Family, it was of top-notch quality.

Soon enough, a familiar visage of Camille Ferros appeared on the Glass Candle.

"I take it's done then?"

As usual, the Heiress Apparent of the Clan Ferros immediately went straight to the matter and asked about the state of things almost instantly.

"Yes, it's done. I relayed the information about the connections between the Arvinos Clan and the Sons of the Harpy, and we are in luck, as the person I was speaking with was General Aenar Belaerys of the 17th Legion. I wouldn't be really surprised if the House Belaerys personally led the crusade against the internal enemies, which would result in the destruction of the entire Arvinos Clan."

Valkorion stated much to Camille's satisfaction as the Heiress Apparent of the Clan Ferros was very satisfied with the outcome. Meeting General Aenar Belaerys of the 17th Valyrian Legion was probably a great stroke of luck.

Within the Freehold, there were not many people who held a greater hatred for the Ghiscari and everything related to them than Aenar Belaerys due to the death of his son at the hands of the Ghiscari.

"Well... that is a rather lucky encounter. This is a much better result than I had initially anticipated."

Valkorion nodded at her statement, because even her felt that this was an almost miraculous piece of luck that he had. If it were someone else, then while it wouldn't be really problematic when it came to passing the information on to the Arvinos and Sons of the Harpy, it wouldn't be that effective.

Both of them understood that if someone from the House Belaerys was involved in the situation, then it was only better for them, because the Belaerys were the ones with a very high degree of power over the Freehold, and they were closest to the ruling party of the Freehold.

"Yes. General Belaerys also agreed to help us against the brigands and bandits, though at the same time, he also pushed his daughter, a Dragonlord, onto us."

Camille Ferros visibly cringed as she didn't really like that he and the rest of the Trifarian Mercenary Company would be under the oversight of the Dragonlord.

While many within the Freehold would consider the presence of the Dragonlord as a literal blessing, for those who were more educated in the art of politics, they knew that it was more dangerous and hazardous than it was worth.

"Understandable, but not something welcomed... who knows what will happen with the danger of the Dragonlord looming over your heads."

Camille Ferros knew that the main reason why General Belaerys decided to send Dragonlord to oversee the Trifarian Mercenary Company was mainly because nobody really trusted the mercenaries very much from the Dragonlord Families.

At the same time, it was also some sort of insurance against the Trifarian Mercenary Company, and at the same time, if something valuable to even the Belaerys Family appeared in that place, they could just take it.
