Chapter 9 - Peak of Spirit Connection Realm and Pseudo Class 10 Soul Tool (Patreon)

Even across the Sun Moon Empire, where the Spiritual Power Cultivation was far more advanced than the cultivation of Soul Power and the development of Martial Souls, not many reached the ends of the Spiritual Power Cultivation path.

And even fewer people practiced standardized techniques for the Spiritual Power Cultivation, as most practiced only simplified instructions on how to develop their Spiritual Power. Only after joining the Sun Moon Imperial Soul Engineering Academy or the Imperial Military would they obtain access to more complete technology.

It was more than evident that the Sun Moon Empire wouldn't be spreading something so advanced and powerful like the Heavenly Spiritual Art freely across the common population, but at the same time, because of the Soul Engineering Profession, there were many imitations and basic training methods.

Xu Tian Xuan suspected that their development in the area of Spiritual Power was far above that of the Douluo Continent, but that was given. Powerful Spiritual Cultivation was inseparable from progressing as a Soul Engineer.

Then, only those who were deemed to be most talented and loyal enough were given access to the Heavenly Spiritual Art. Kong Deming already taught a fair share of people the Spiritual Power Cultivation, including his own disciple Xuan Ziwen, and several members of the Imperial Family.

Suddenly, as Xu Tian Xuan felt something move inside his Spiritual Sea.

The Spiritual Sea or Sea of Consciousness, was the realm situated within the mind (upper dantian) of a Soul Master and Soul Beast. It served as the storage space for their Spiritual Power and parts of their Soul.

When a Soul Master transcended to Godhood, the Spiritual Sea would evolve into a Divine Consciousness. 

Kong Deming then used his own Spiritual Power to observe Tian Xuan's progress at an astonishing speed as he continued practicing the Heavenly Spiritual Art. Just half an hour after he started cultivating, Tian Xuan crossed through the threshold of 400, and his speed wasn't slowing down a bit.

'If he doesn't slow down, he will reach the peak of the Spirit Connection Realm in no time and will not be far from reaching the Spirit Sea Realm. And this all without any other external methods or Heaven and Earth Treasures...'

Kong Deming thought as he silently observed Xu Tian Xuan, who was cultivating his Spiritual Power according to the instructions of the Heavenly Spiritual Art. 

There are also plenty of items that help nourish the Spiritual Sea and aid in the cultivation of the Spiritual Power.

The Sun Moon Empire recorded quite a few of them, such as legendary Immortal Herbs like the Full Moon Wearing Autumn Dew, special ores like the Amethyst Stone, and Heaven and Earth treasures like a Skull Soul Bones. 

Heaven and Earth Treasures refer to precious or most valuable products that can be obtained from the earth, sea, outer space, plants, animals or other sources. In short, they are born from Heaven and Earth themselves, and they contain extraordinary power.

On some lucky occasions, absorbing a powerful Soul Ring can also directly increase one's spiritual power capacity.

Most of these cultivation techniques were ancient legacies that were barely cultivable in the past, but after the sudden development of the Soul Tools, the times have changed. Normally, one would need to be a heaven-defying genius or have a tremendously high Comprehension Level to use the Heavenly Spiritual Art.

When Xu Tian Xuan heard about their existence for the first time, he asked:

"And can't we use Soul Tools to analyze them and make them whole or something?"

Normally, this would be just an empty rhetorical question, but when Kong Deming heard that, the old man felt like he was enlightened by something. That was the sentence that prompted the entire Imperial Research Center to dig out every last page of the ancient test and use the Soul Tool Technology to recreate the effects of the technique.

Even right now, some two years after that, they were still going through the enormous Imperial Archives and using the Soul Tools to scan every piece of text, knowledge, and lore that the Imperial Family had about cultivation of all kinds.

Suddenly, as Tian Xuan was practicing the Heavenly Spiritual Art, he suddenly hit a bottleneck in his cultivation when he reached the Spiritual Power of Level 499, which was the peak of the Spirit Connection Realm.

No matter how much he wanted to go with his cultivation of the Spiritual Power, it wouldn't budge even a bit, as he was stuck at the peak of the Spirit Connection Realm. Though... at the same time, just with his Spiritual Power alone, he could contend with peak Soul Elders, as this was the equivalent rank to the Soul Power Cultivation Rank.

"It seems that I have hit a bottleneck... never mind... at least I won't have a problem absorbing much stronger Evil Eye Soul Ring."

Xu Tian Xuan muttered because he had initially planned to absorb around 1,000 Years Old Evil Eye, but later, due to the growth of his physical body under his mother's strict training regimen, this was increased by another 500 Years of Cultivation Age.

Then again, with the progress in his Spiritual Power, he guessed that this limit would be maximally 2,000 Years.

"It seems that you have reached the peak of the Spirit Connection Realm... if you can indeed start with much older Soul Rings for your Sun-Moon Eyes, then perhaps, you can start cultivating the Chaos-Void Heaven Destruction Lightning Dragon Martial Soul than we have initially predicted."

Kong Deming said he was pretty shocked by Tian Xuan's progress in his Spiritual Power Cultivation. He knew how much effort was needed by the Soul Masters in the early stages of the Spiritual Power cultivation, yet Tian Xuan just went through it like nothing.

If not for the bottlenecks between each Realm that cannot be crossed by pure Comprehension alone, he would have reached the Spirit Sea Realm in one go.

"Thank you for the high praise, Grandpa Kong."

Tian Xuan said as he sometimes called Kong Deming "Teacher" and sometimes "Grandpa Kong"... in the end, the Silver Moon Douluo was still a member of the Imperial Family and one of their pillars.

"Do you want to see the world's first Pseudo Class 10 Soul Tool?... Consider it as a reward for reaching the Spirit Connection Realm this fast."

Kong Deming asked with a slight smile as Tian Xaun was deeply shocked by the fact that Kong Deming was already working on a Pseudo Class 10 Soul Tool. At the same time, hearing that made Tian Xuan look at the Father of Soul Tools in admiration, because this meant that Silver Moon Douluo wasn't far from becoming a Class 10 Soul Engineer.

To become a Class 10 Soul Engineer, one needed to be Soul Rank: Super Douluo, Level 95 to Level 97, and have Spiritual Power of the Spirit Domain Realm. Tian Xuan knew that Kong Deming possessed neither, yet he was able to create a Pseudo Class 10 Soul Tool with his knowledge and skills alone.

He was currently only Level 92 Titled Douluo, but his Spiritual Power was nearing the breakthrough to the Spirit Domain Realm.

"Of course! Let's go already!"

Xu Tian Xuan almost jumped from the ground as he then followed Kong Deming to the deepest parts of the Imperial Consecration Hall. Kong Deming's own workshop was located in the Imperial Research Center, but for this project, they moved the entire station to the heart of the Consecration Hall.

Within it, there was one giant sealed underground room, which was protected by so many Soul Guidance Arrays and Soul Tools, that it would threaten even the life of a peak Super Douluo Level 97.

One could easily argue that this place was the safest one across the entire Sun Moon Continent.

And there it was...

It was an enormous cube-shaped device that was shining with bluish energy and was... fluid? 

As some parts of it were constantly moving across the surface, right and left, while different runes that were inscribed on the surface of the cube were sometimes shining and sometimes they were dimmed down.

The entire device was enormous; it was easily more than twenty meters in height, and if not for the size of this place, it wouldn't even fit.

"Behold the ever-first Pseudo Class 10 Soul Tool, the Akashic Records Holocron!"

Kong Deming spoke with sheer excitement when he looked at his most prized creation.

This was his peak work so far, and in fact, the Akashic Records Holocron Soul Tool was also behind the rapid development of the cultivation techniques across the Sun Moon Continent.

"I cannot believe that you have managed to build all of this just in a few years..."

Even Xu Tian Xuan was speechless at the fact that the Akashic Records Holocron was already functioning and was history's first Pseudo Class 10 Soul Tool.
