Paws for effect (Patreon)

Spent all day patterning Taro’s hands. I’m pretty happy with them now so will make the final pair next week.

Started off with a 3D model and print. Taped it up and transferred to 1cm thick foam. Her hands/arms are sizeably bigger than mine so I’m aiming to make a foam ‘shell’ that my hands fit into.

Very easy to put together. I made 3 versions before I was happy with the size and shape (the largest version in pics is the final). I will probably make her pinky finger a smidge longer.

Hoping the stretch of the fleece I’m using will allow enough flex to cover the slit on the top side of the wrist. It’s necessary to allow that flex and not look like I’m wearing huge oven mitts.

The tester claws are currently 3D printing. I’ll make sure the scale is correct and whip them up quickly early next week.
