Here is just a small pre-alpha test of the engine! It is really not much but a small room at the moment, but I'm excited to present it! Look forward to more progress soon!

Movement is rather clunky. Not sre if its just me thought. Never the less im looking forward to a proper alpha version :)

A pre alpha is great to spot a lot of minor problems before is too late, for example the jumping and attack buttons has a good response, but the movement input had too much lag, almost like a second, i recommend fixing this before adding more stuff. also if is possible try to avoid keys like "Ctrl", or "Alt" (Windows can be problematic with that), and use something like A,S,D,F...

Rock Box

It is clunky yes, but it will be smoothed out in coming versions. Thanks for the feedback. :)

Rock Box

This will all be corrected in builds to come. For now, this is just a small test. I appreciate your input!

I am having trouble running the game. I have a Mac and use wine devel to play games like this. Do I need to install another progam instead?

Rock Box

Hm, I'd need to know a little more information, like what kind of error you're receiving.

TheJester

Thank you for getting back to me. A screen pops up with 'Bash 80x24" and mentions that Wine is not an emulator.

Rock Box

Unfortunately I'm not all too familiar with troubleshooting Mac program issues, or anything running on WINE for that matter. Googling that error only brings up issues involving the terminal, so I'm not too sure what to do here...

TheJester

Not a problem. I've been trying to figure out things myself. If I do get it to work, I'll post how here, just in case anyone else has the same issues. Any recommendations on an alternate program to use to run it?

Carly

It works pretty well for me! No bugs I can find in it so far! :> Still awesome!

Sleepnir

Hooray, function! Launches and runs smoothly. Another bit of minor feedback to add to what's here: distinguishing held jumps vs tapped jumps would be useful for any sort of platforming focus.
