Hey everyone!

Another year has passed, and I can't thank you all enough for your support!I'm making a few changes in my work schedule to accommodate life slowly returning to normal as we try and finish off this pandemic. The biggest of which is trying out something new here.

This is a tentative addition, and it is relatively loose. My goal is to do this monthly, but only as time allows. But coming in 2022 is...

The Suggestion Box

The long and short of this is that patrons $10+ will be able to submit ideas for me to draw traditionally. Starting out as sketches, and then eventually perhaps turning into traditional paintings.

"Isn't this just the request stream?" You ask? Well, it's similar, but here's the caveat:

the suggestions must NOT include your original character(s). You'll basically be able to suggest generic characters, rule 34, or my characters.

Logistically, this is how it will work: I will make Suggestion Box posts now and then, where you can comment (or message) your idea(s). I will take a look through all of them and see which ones I'd like to draw.

Ideally, I'll then run a stream where I just draw some of my chosen ideas.

Once a few sketches are done, I'll be making follow-up polls for folks to vote on which (if any) should be completed to a traditional painting!

There are a few reasons I'm doing this, but at its core, I want to have originals to sell at conventions, something physical you all can take home should you choose. Many people (patrons and non-patrons) have asked me to do this lately, and I'm REALLY on board with it.

Let me know what y'all think! Do suggestions come to mind right away? Any fun alternatives you'd want to see in this new Suggestion Box?

110% on board with this idea! Feels like how Ruaidri has his 'monthly painting' suggestions and polls--The vast majority of them involve either his own characters or random characters to fit the scenario. It's definitely a monthly draw for his Patreon and adds a lot of subscriber interaction. I like the idea that these sketches and illustrations will eventually be up for sale, to directly support you. At MFF there were painfully few originals in the art show, and I know a lot of people are on the hunt and more importantly will pay premiums for good original art. If you can use this to make a good number of original works to submit to convention art shows, I promise people will flock to them! Finally, you know I'm always on board for more streams. The amount you do already with your four monthly sketch streams are a lot compared to other creators, but I do miss your commission streams! Adding in another where we can just relax with you, listen to music, laugh and watch you draw is a great thing in my books.
