not sure if you guys realize but the greatest tragedy in the history of TripleS happened during this episode. Since the day she joined....chaewon has been OBSESSED with strawberries. On her first live with hayeon she said her life goal was to be a strawberry farmer, she did a solo signal where she made strawberry cake, members just literally call her farmer bc she wants to be a strawberry farmer and always get her gifts that are strawberry related, she even tried to grow strawberries at home but her dad mistakenly pulled them thinking they were weeds. It's why hayeon and shion were giving her such a hard time about choosing whether to go to the market or the strawberry farm

yeah....korea has had 5 day markets basically since the joseon era and it's SUPER CONFUSING bc it's once every 5 days (not 7 bc that's just how they did it back in the day) but for some reason, all old people just intrinsically KNOW when they are and don't have to look at a calendar. It always confused me when I'd go visit my aunts and uncles

so with heotteok....nuts and seeds are really common so hazelnut heotteok is a thing but there are a ton of other varieties (walnut, chestnut, pine nuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, etc). They also sell them plain with honey but even though it's not AS common, it's available. (the whole point of heotteok is the filling so most of them have nuts or seeds, otherwise it'd literally just be brown sugar filling which might be too much)

Hotteok can sometimes have pine nuts or walnuts but I have almost never had street ones with more than brown sugar usually.

so hayeon and chaewon are called Mochiz bc during their very first live together they started talking about how stretchy each others cheeks were and started stretching each others cheeks out (bc both of them are such weirdos, well correction....hayeon noticed how stretchy chaewon's cheeks were and just started stretching them herself and then stretched her own cheeks out and freaked out bc it was literally like Fantastic 4 stretching) and a commenter said they should just be called Mochiz but then by the end of the live bc one said the other wasn't their favorite they decided to "break up" but the name stuck (again....absolute weirdos together) and this is a super korean thing but hayeon gets to me bc if she's not acting like a rich korean aunt....she literally acts like a drunk korean uncle. She literally says and does stuff my aunts and uncles say and do
