They're actually quite a bit weirder than I thought!  They've got little claws in their mouth, too!

Some more interesting facts:

Their tail is actually an extension of their abdomen.  Their anus is right behind the stinger, all the way at the end.

They can shed their tails to escape predators, but it won't grow back, and they can never poop again.  They can live this way for about 8 months.

Their exoskeleton contains fluorescent chemicals that glow under ultraviolet light.

Courtship involves holding hands and dancing.  The dance is called the "promenade à deux" (French for "a walk for two")

Females give live birth, and the mother carries the babies around on her back until their exoskeletons harden, which takes from 5 to 25 days.
