Be careful of the YouTube comments on this one

Not one of my favourite Quark episodes, so i just give it C.

As you have now watched (probably) 2 episodes beyond Shadowplay, STOP READING YOUTUBE COMMENTS. Spoilers in DS9 are orders of magnitude greater than any ST TV show you've watched.

(B)est Ferengi episode since THE NAGUS!!!

I was GOING to give it a B and feel like I'm (B)eing really generous in doing so. There's some fantastic acting, especially comedic acting in this one from Armin Shimmerman, and the direction is a lot of fun. That said, this episode commits the sin of making a new character look good by making an established character look bad, and I HATE that. Quark is a bit neutered in this episode, being fairly ineffective so Pel can look good. And the whole... "Pel is a strong female, but them she ruins everything she had built because she instantly falls in love with Quark" is sortof uncutting your own message.

Or, at the very least, enlist a moderator to give you a curated list of Youtube comments. Patrons know what you want, they know what sort of experience you're looking for. And since your Patrons are paying $$, you can pretty much guarantee that they're here to be respectful of the experience. On Youtube, you're going to get randos who don't give a crap and may have stumbled across the channel on a random search, and Episode 2x16 of DS9 is the first thing they've seen. That doesn't mean never interact with a Youtube audience, but you really need an intermediary.

Given their comments during Shadowplay, I'm very much worried that the cat is really out of the bag on that part.

Evan Guthrie

In the end it's not a huge spoiler. Just better to remain secret if possible.

Bridge Crew members have done that previously (acting as moderators). I don't know how convenient it is to do this consistently.
