The only thing I remember about this one is that I didn't like it.

TinMan_7B9

Distraught Damsel in Distress Daydreams of DS9's Dashing Director. Difficult Douche "Daddy" Desires Deathly Divorce, Diving Directly into Dead Dwarfstar. Decent Drama? Dull! Deserves D.

Goobabies

D-ickbag Terraformer

Notebook Industries

I don’t care, I liked it. The idea of astral projecting your dreams was interesting.

Actuarial Lurker

It wasn't an E..,not much more to say than that. although episodes like this might get curved down to an E once you start handing out 15-20 S scores out of 26 in each of the later seasons

Rob Nichols

This is S for me for Richard Kiley alone, they spared no expense.

JordanK1991

I would put it somewhat between high D and low C. Probably in the five most forgettable episodes of the season for me.

giuseppe scigliano

Wow I’d thought more would’ve liked this episode

JRandolph

I could watch Salli Richardson all day, but even with that this one's mediocre, at best. It's a good reminder that back in the days of 26-episode seasons there were always a few "filler" episodes that made us appreciate the bangers that much more.

Summer

There are good parts but it feels a bit cheap.

KingPin124

How have half the people voted as a C? It’s so bad 😂

HeatheЯ

I legit want to hear from the people who gave this an A or S (C- for me). Not to bash them but to hear why they love this. I think that would be an interesting conversation. And to prove I'm sincere I'll admit in public, I give Sub Rosa an S, it's one of my favorite episodes :D

Jim

This is one of the few where I rate it lower than the rest of the crowd. I just don't see what the point was. I have seen other people explain as something to do with moving on from his widow but I don't see it. He had a brief crush on a person that doesn't exist? I don't see that as much progress.

John

I originally thought low C Tier, but then I remembered what the tiers represent and dropped it to a solid D. It shouldn't be eliminated from the canon, but it doesn't really do anything or accomplish anything.

John

I assumed they were trolling. I assumed the people who gave Sub Rosa an S (it's the worst episode of TNG in my opinion) were trolling as well. Proven wrong on that front at least.

Numinous2019

I suppose that at least it is a Sisko-centered story, which was long overdue. So for that reason it can't be an E.

Numinous2019

I would rate Masks and several others as lower than Sub Rosa, which I rate a D minus.

Numinous2019

Your comment deserves an S rating.

jon bolton

For me it's the scenes between Dax and Sisko that keep this a C and not dropping to D.

Scott Bennett

So forgettable two of the characters forget at least half the episode during it. Normally to be an E to me it has to offend me as well as being bad. This one secures it though by being aggressively bland and E for Empty

Kevin Jackson

I liked it. No it's not a masterpiece. It's just an interesting romantic episode. I like this more than Melora. And even Melora wasn't horrible it was just mid IMO. Nothing horrible or fantastic either. This episode was actually enjoyable to me. Still is.

HeatheЯ

It's a C- for me (mentally a D+) but I put it in the C category rather than D because there's a couple scenes I like and for the joke that aged so well - they used Richard Kiley and spared no expense.

Nick Anderson

I thought it was... Ok. I can see where they were going, but this feels like they had a two-parter in mind, and had to cut it in half for a single episode. And the last line... Oof man. I'm ranking it as C, because it could have been done better.
